What is E-waste Recycling, E-waste Technology, E-Waste EPR and Circular Economy In today's world, we use a lot of electronic gadgets like phones, laptops, and tablets. But when these gadgets get old and we don't need them anymore, they become electronic waste, or e-waste. E-waste is a big problem because it can harm the environment and our health if we don't handle it properly. That's where e-waste recycling comes in. It's a way to take old electronics and turn them into new things, all while being kind to the planet. What is E-Waste Recycling? E-waste recycling is all about finding new uses for old electronics instead of just throwing them away. Instead of letting them sit in landfills or burning them, we can take them apart and reuse the valuable parts inside. This helps us use fewer new materials and makes less pollution. How Technology Helps E-Waste Recycling: Technology has made e-waste recycling much easier and better for the environment. There are special machines that can take apart old gadgets and sort out the valuable bits, like gold, silver, and copper. These machines are very smart and can even learn to do their job better over time. With their help, we can recycle more electronics and make less waste. What is Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)? Extended Producer Responsibility, or EPR, is a rule that makes companies responsible for what happens to their products after we're done using them. This means companies have to think about how to make products that are easy to recycle and don't harm the environment. With EPR, companies have to help collect and recycle their old gadgets, which is good for the planet. Why Circular Economy is Important for E-Waste: E-waste recycling is part of a bigger idea called the circular economy. Instead of making things, using them, and throwing them away, the circular economy wants us to reuse and recycle as much as we can. By recycling old electronics, we can save resources and protect the environment. Plus, we can make new things without hurting the planet.
