Interestingly the headline made me thing about it in a way I haven't really considered before. Parental Alienation has parallels with extreme micromanaging. An attitude of "The only acceptable way is my way. The only person able to do it my way is me. Therefore you are not able to parent to the required standard, and the conclusion has to be that you must not be allowed to parent". In my case I've got an ex wife who has spent years determinedly arguing that I'm an awful father who shouldn't be allowed to see his kids, and a wife who thinks I'm a marvellous father to our kids.

That is how l grew up. I couldn't hug or kiss my dad or go anywhere with him to having my ex husband tell me l can't kiss my children, they couldn't sleep with me, l wasn't allowed to pick them up or speak Hungarianor German any more.. .. this is total control
