"Holding Back Climate Progress: Sustainability's Critical Skills Gap" - research report launch takes place this Thursday. The findings are from interviews with 21 senior sustainability leaders and survey responses from 138 sustainability practitioners from over 21 countries. Adding depth to existing reports through a rich exposition of sustainability leaders' voices, the report tells the story of the changing context of sustainability work and the implications for #skills development for the #greentransition. As sustainability becomes part of everyone's job, we shed light on core #softskills and attributes and how we can all affect #influence and #change through embedding a culture of #climatechange #leadership through a #coaching mindset. #Students preparing to enter the workforce are especially welcome, as well as #educators interested in connecting soft skills to the #sustainability into #businesseducation. Efrem Bycer (from 'Sustainability and Workforce Partnerships LinkedIn) recently posted that "The data are clear: the future of work is more human, digital, and sustainable". In alignment with Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), our report positions #wellbeing and #empowerment at the core of #humanistic management for a #greenerworld. Such skills and values are embedded within Business and Management programmes at Oxford Brookes Business School and I am thankful to work with Charly Cox, Co-Founder Climate Change Coaches-cert B Corp as an Entrepreneur in Residence. #collaboration #greenertogether
