As helpful, inventive, and informative as scientific research might be, it rarely reaches mainstream media. Scientific research is predominantly aimed at university students, doctors, professors, investors, or other researchers. This is why I decided not just to focus on writing scientific papers for scientific audiences. My aim is to promote my findings to a broader audience, to my scientific peers and to the broader community. As great as it is to share scientific findings within the scientific cohort, it’s not only the scientific community that appreciates a deeper insight that people with disability have the right and want to have a sexual quality of life, it’s also society itself. To give the broader community an awareness of the lived experience of people with a disability and to update them in scientific research conducted around Spinal Cord Injury, I wrote a suspense romance novel, ‘Secret Forces’, that is available on Amazon. The narrative invites readers to get a deeper insight into my main character’s living with a spinal cord injury. I loved your book! It was so rewarding to read fiction with a strong disabled protagonist. No pressure but if you are looking for your next project, I think there would be significant interest in a story that includes a main character with fluctuating or hidden disability, including how they navigate family perceptions and relationships. Sadly I loaned my copy to someone and I don't remember who! I'm hoping whoever has it returns it or passes it to someone else, so it can reach its next reader
