United Airlines - the airline that called its mass hiring of pilots a strategic advantage - has too many pilots. What does this mean for the industry? Our February research discussed the rapidly slowing acute pilot shortage in the United States. However, the analysis focuses not on the U.S. but on the remainder of the industry. The damage has been done. From the analysis: We expect "labor costs are further expected to pollute markets outside of the U.S., driving labor costs higher around the world."
