Research paper, 03.2022 "Imperialist appropriation in the world economy: Drain from the global South through unequal exchange, 1990–2015" Rich countries rely on a large net appropriation of resources from the global South. 👉🏾Drain from the South is worth over $10 trillion per year, in Northern prices. 👉🏾The South’s losses outstrip their aid receipts by a factor of 30. 👉🏾Unequal exchange is a major driver of underdevelopment and global inequality. 👉🏾The impact of excess resource consumption in the North is offshored to the South. https://lnkd.in/epdPhh57

Finally out in Journal of Management - with Patricia Klopf, PhD. & Johann Fortwengel: Our category-paper on the construction of symbolic and regulatory boundaries. Based on a longitudinal study about the home-sharing category, we open the black box of how symbolic boundaries are translated into regulatory boundaries between an established and an emerging category. We identify how interdependent shifts in coalitions of market actors and their discursive accounts during category contestation result sequentially in strong symbolic and regulatory boundaries.
