If the briefing in the press is correct* the removal of the Ofsted overall inspection grade with immediate effect is an excellent step forward. *UPDATE - it is correct - schools first. It's unnecessary, ill-serving and detracts from the more helpful sub-judgments which will remain for now. Here's my comment on it from 6 months ago. Later, I'll add more examples in the chat of why this is a good decision for both education establishments and Ofsted themselves. #ofsted #inspection

✨ Delighted to announce that I've earned the Elite certification from NPTEL!🎓 This program has been an incredible journey, deepening my expertise in Maintenance and Repair of Concrete Structures. This course will help me learn how to identify various deterioration mechanisms or damage mechanisms in concrete structures. The course will discuss both the scientific aspects and its use while practicing repair works at site. Use of various non-destructive, partially-destructive tools to assess the condition of the structure will be discussed. Also, tips on selecting measurable parameters that are useful in deciding the further repair and maintenance practices will be provided. Following this, practices for typical near-surface repair, corrosion protection, structural strengthening, structural stabilization, etc. will be discussed in detail. I extend my gratitude to the NPTEL team for crafting such a comprehensive curriculum.
