Charlotte Tilbury x F1? We didn't see that coming.. In the era of topical marketing, brands who are able to find a relevant topic are winning! Charlotte Tilbury, in my opinion can be named as a disruptive brand with their F1 campaign. What a master move! While other female oriented brands do not see “sports” as an avenue for marketing. It’s quite interesting to still see how brands are continously innovating to leave a mark on the customer’s mind. Most importantly, brands like this are able to understand their customer base much better with data; looking beyond the conventional 4 sides of a segment’s preference analysis. Would this push the female-oriented brands to jump on the F1 or sports bandwagon? Maybe. We are here to see! #formula1 #topicalmarketing #marketing #charlottetilbury
40% of F1 fans are female. What are brands doing with this information? Nothing. Should they? Hell yes. In 2023, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and the Barbie movie showed just how incredibly powerful the young, female target market is. And F1 viewership is increasing in this segment rapidly. Enter Charlotte Tilbury. It has become the first female-founded and first beauty brand to sponsor the F1 academy. The F1 academy is built for young female drivers with the objective of advancing them straight to the Formula One grid. And this was the perfect match. While the Charlotte Tilbury car is being driven by 18 year old French driver Lola Lovinfosse, the brand will be raising awareness about all 15 inspiring young drivers throughout the season, in an attempt to get more girls interested in the sport.

When Novak Djokovic, Steph Curry, and LeBron James declared that representing their countries at the Paris Olympics was the pinnacle of their careers, I understood completely. Their words took me back to a moment that transformed my life and career forever. It wasn't at the Olympics, but at the SLS World Cup of Transformation in Mexico City. As I stood there, holding the Philippine flag 🇵🇭, I felt a surge of pride and responsibility that I had never experienced before. In that instant, I realized why those sports legends felt the way they did. The video I'm sharing with this post, set to a lyrical version of "Amazing Grace," captures the essence of that transformative experience. Every time I hear this melody, I'm transported back to that pivotal moment when everything changed: • I went from being an individual to embodying the hopes of millions of Filipinos • My role shifted from a professional to a cultural ambassador • I transformed from a participant into a catalyst for change This wasn't just about holding a piece of cloth. It was about representing the spirit, potential, and dreams of an entire nation. The weight of that flag in my hands became the weight of responsibility on my shoulders - a weight that has shaped my journey ever since. The transformation didn't end when I lowered the flag. It continues to influence how I approach my work, my relationships, and my role in our global community. Like those Olympians, I found that representing my country wasn't just an honor - it was a life-altering experience. To my fellow professionals: Have you had a moment that unexpectedly transformed your career and life perspective? How has it shaped your journey since? Let's share our stories of transformation. After all, in the Philippines, we have a saying: "#SanaALL" - may we all experience such profound moments of change and growth. #PersonalTransformation #GlobalCitizenship #ProfessionalGrowth #RepresentPH #AmazingGrace --- P.S. As you watch the video, let the melody of "Amazing Grace" remind you of your own transformative moments. How have they shaped your amazing journey? https://lnkd.in/g6-_4VHQ

The event is June 6-8, but let's break that schedule down ⬇️ It's officially a three-day event, but check out the breakdown of what each day looks like commitment-wise. Thursday, June 6 - Trivia Competition at Naked River Brewing Co. from 5-8 PM - You'll only need to send 5 people to represent the company, although you're welcome to bring more to cheerlead/support/have some drinks Friday, June 7 - Bowling Competition at Spare Time from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM - You'll send 5-10 people to represent the company on the bowling team. You can pick a time from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM to stop by, whatever your team prefers. Saturday, June 8 - The Field Day Event at Finley Stadium and First Horizon Pavilion - Officially 7:30 AM - 4 PM - This is the day you want the entire company to come out. It's way more fun if you have everyone come out and stay/tailgate all day, but if you have employees who need to pop in and out, they are welcome to. Corporate Challenge is flexible so people can still participate even if they can't stay all day. It's also family-friendly - families are more than welcome to come out and support, although they cannot physically participate in the challenges.

The Documentary Channel Returns as a Streaming Powerhouse By Myles Shane The Documentary Channel, once a staple on North American television, is back with a new identity as a streaming platform, aiming to transform how documentaries are consumed worldwide. Founders Tom Neff and John Forbess, who launched the original network in 2006, are leading the charge to reshape nonfiction storytelling in the digital age. From 2006 to 2012, the Documentary Channel was the first 24/7 network dedicated to documentaries, reaching over 25 million households. The vision behind the channel was simple yet ambitious: to provide a platform for compelling, informative, and entertaining documentaries that were often sidelined by mainstream TV. Tom Neff, a graduate of Lawrence University and the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, has built a career centered around storytelling. John Forbess, who transitioned from criminal defense law to entertainment law, played a crucial operational role. Their shared passion for documentaries led them to conceive the channel over lunch at the Brighton Café in Beverly Hills. Despite its initial success, the channel was sold to Participant Media in 2012 and rebranded as Pivot TV, which eventually faltered. However, Neff and Forbess are now back, this time with the opportunities afforded by streaming services. With traditional cable TV in decline, they believe streaming’s unlimited capacity and global accessibility provide the perfect platform for documentary films. The new Documentary Channel streaming service offers over 150 award-winning documentaries for a one-time fee of $1.99. This preview phase is designed not just as a marketing strategy but also to gather feedback from early subscribers. Forbess explained, “We believe viewers will love the diverse, cutting-edge programming we’re offering.” Looking ahead, the channel plans to expand its subscriber base and secure $6 million in seed funding over the next five years. While there may be challenges, Forbess is confident in the channel’s mission: “We have no intention of supporting one political party over another. Our goal is to present diverse perspectives and let viewers decide for themselves.” The Documentary Channel is primed to become a leading force in nonfiction streaming entertainment.
