Whether you're aiming to grow your business or simply getting the kids to toss their laundry in the basket (not on the floor), adding a reason WHY can make all the difference! This week on the podcast, @minalsampatllc shared a powerful reminder: It’s not just about what we do, but why we do it that counts. Sharing the 'why' enriches every interaction, transforming simple exchanges into meaningful connections. It’s about adding transparency, understanding, and depth to our actions. Why attend an event? Why engage in a project? The answers to these questions do more than clarify intent—they ignite inspiration and help create community and meaning. Challenge yourself to seek and share the 'why' in your own life. Watch how it shifts your experiences and deepens connections.

"You don't need a large audience to partner with large creators." Really?? This idea is what inspired my recent interview with Bryan Harris, founder of GrowthTools, on the Creator Science Podcast. GrowthTools oversees ~1000 partnerships for their clients *per month.* And many of those clients don't have a large audience, so how do they do it? Bryan told me that the partner just needs to want ONE of three things: • To grow their audience • To grow their revenue • To publish great content If you can provide high-quality content for them to share with THEIR audience, that can be more than enough. He teaches a three-part outreach strategy: 1. ANCHOR Tell the partner who you are, what you're about, and prove you're not a weirdo on the internet. 2. WIN Tell the partner what the win for THEM would be in the partnership. 3. ASK Ask if they're interested. In fact, simply end the message with, "Are you interested?" Bryan also shared his follow-up strategy, but I'm running out of characters here. Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/gmzdNE78

Pulling this out of my podcast archive as a reminder for us all on how we can change our futures by the actions we take now. Specifically, we get to shape our reputations with the people we build industry relationships with, so when our dream jobs come around, we’ve already planted the seeds and built the trust for them to say “YES” to hiring us. It’s kinda like magic, but 100% real. If you’re someone scared or stressed about networking, you should definitely listen to this episode. I share a bunch of strategies of how to do it organically and that are actually enjoyable! Just head to https://lnkd.in/eMfHwQrE to tune in! 🎧

Julie Keyes represents one of the strongest voices advocating for owners to get proper advice in the exit planning space. Our Founder, Jason Early, spoke with Julie on her show Poised for Exit Podcast about how advisors can leverage RISR to power better conversations. 🔑 🗣 "One question that Jason encourages advisors to ask their clients is, “What is your dream value?” In other words, if there were no obstacles, what would you ideally love to sell your company for? Once the advisor and owner have gained clarity around the answer to this question, the advisor can then work with the owner to help him or her achieve it." Link below in the comments. 🔗

Is your social media just a feed of podcast clips? 🤔 Posting podcast clips consistently is great, but if that’s all you share, your audience might miss out on you. People want to connect with the person behind the podcast—your passions, hobbies, and brand pillars. Remember, social media is about building a relationship. Give your audience reasons to follow you, not just your show. 🔥💪 See the link in the comment below to listen to the full episode. 👇

Here’s a simple example of why your consistent presence on here matters especially if your goal is to talk to people. About once a week we get an email from someone asking to be featured on the Self-Taught Devs podcast. They usually have something they’re trying to promote (which I don’t necessarily have an issue with). The first thing I do is look them up on LinkedIn and see what sort of the things they talk about. I do this to see if there are things that I’d like to talk to them about. 99% of the time their LinkedIn is absolutely empty. When I see this I automatically reject these requests. If you’d like to talk to more people, in my opinion, who you are is more important than what you do. People can’t find out who you are if you don’t show them.
