I observed in Norway several time such black white welds on touristic safety infrastructure (e.g. handrails). I am quite amazed about that, and it seems there is no increase in corrosion at the joint. Consider that in Norway it is raining (too) often, these constructions are far way from salt-spray and air polution is in the fjordland no problem. In other words; there is no electrolyte. What do you think about this safety construction? Imagine this at a mediterranean seaside.
