As an educational leader, I’m having constant conversations with educators in the classroom and one thing I push is we need to stop running away from AI tools and start embracing it. AI benefits the ones who are marginalized the most. It can be used to bridge the gap when there are language barriers and with students with dis/abilities. It can be used as a tool to increase engagement and offer different ways for students to illustrate their learning. It can aid the teacher transitioning from traditional methods that aren’t effect to more inclusive and culturally affirming methods where students have greater voice and choice in their learning, cultivating critical thinkers. Isn’t that the goal! I’m definitely hoping to learn as much as possible about AI to keep modeling and promoting its use as a valuable tool in classrooms.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. As someone passionate about #education and #technology, I am always inspired by innovative solutions that transform the way we #learn and #teach. The recent challenges in education, highlighted by the OECD - OCDE Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), underscore an urgent need for educational innovation. Educational technology (#edtech) offers a powerful solution. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence (#AI) and data-driven models, we can gain real-time insights into student knowledge and behaviors. This allows for the development of personalized, engaging and adaptive learning experiences that cater to each student's unique needs. It's crucial to embrace AI and edtech to equip students with the skills they need for a technology-driven future. By doing so, we can foster new, customized approaches to learning that will benefit students and society as a whole. Learn more about how we can support educational innovation. https://bit.ly/3JSIR7F
