Why I believe motherhood has been my greatest teacher! 1. Enhancing Compassion: "Motherhood has opened my heart wider than I ever thought possible. As I prioritize understanding and meeting the needs of my child, I've found my capacity for compassion deepening, not only towards them but towards others in my life as well." 2. Establishing Healthy Boundaries: "Ah, boundaries – something I used to struggle with! The responsibility of parenthood has been a crash course in setting healthy boundaries. It's a delicate balance, but it's taught me to prioritize caregiving, taking out toxic people out of my life to be psychologically more healthy to nurture my kid! 3. Continuous Self-Improvement: "Motherhood has this unique way of holding up a mirror to your flaws, doesn't it? It's forced me to confront my shortcomings head-on, motivating me to continuously strive to be a better version of myself, not just for my child, but for my own growth as well." 4. Increased Self-Awareness: "I've never been more aware of my actions and behaviors than I am now as a mother. Every step I take, I'm conscious of the example I'm setting for my little one. It's a journey of constant reflection and growth, leading to greater self-understanding and emotional maturity." As rightly said, "Motherhood: All love begins and ends there." - Robert Browning Motherhood, with all its challenges and joys, is a journey of profound transformation, shaping us into compassionate, resilient, and ever-evolving beings. Happy Mothers Day!! #mothersday

Childhood is a time of discovery, play, and wonder, shaping a child's worldview. Parents aim to ensure their child's well-being and happiness. 1. Give Them Plenty of Play Time - Kids learn from play, so let them have fun and explore the world around them freely. 2. Take Argument and Heavy Discussions Elsewhere - Keep adult discussions away from children to protect their psychological well-being. 3. Don’t Compare Them To Others - Comparing children can lead to unnecessary pressure and affect their happiness. 4. Teach The Benefits Of Negative Emotions - Teach children to manage negative emotions constructively instead of punishing them. 5. Acknowledge Their Efforts - Recognize and praise children's efforts rather than focusing solely on outcomes. 6. Value Family Traditions - Spending time together strengthens family bonds and provides stability for children. 7. Let Them Take Chances - Allow children to take calculated risks to develop resilience and life skills. 8. Give Them A Sense of Individual Responsibility - Give children responsibilities to promote independence and accountability. 9. Create Happier Memories - Building joyful memories positively impacts a child's development and future outlook. 10. Be Happy Yourself! - Children learn from adults, so prioritize self-care and positivity to influence them positively. Nothing prepares you for motherhood. Nothing prepares you for: 🧐How much your identity, lifestyle and priorities shift when you have each child and over the course of your career while raising your kids. 😧 How much mental and emotional gymnastics you do each day between work and parenting. When you’re done with your professional job for the day and expended all that energy, you show up for your kids. 😔How sometimes it can feel really really challenging to manage motherhood and career. You’re ambitious, you’ve worked hard and you have high standards for yourself. It’s difficult when you feel like you aren’t meeting your own standards (which are often not fair to you or reflective of your true capacity). AND nothing prepares you for: 😍How much you’ll love and would move mountains for your kids. I always tell my kids that my heart feels like it’s going to explode every single day with the love I have for them. 🤣How much they will make you laugh, how much fun they are and how many questions they have about everything. I often don’t know the answer! 🤓How much they teach you about life and about your own childhood wounds that still need healing. Motherhood and parenthood is a complex fluid experience. We’re doing the best we can with the tools we have and where we’re at in life. There is no singular way to do this thing. Your way is THE way. You’re doing a good job. And what you do each day is good enough. It’s actually incredible. Absolutely incredible.🥹 Happy early Mother’s Day.🌸 👉🏽Please share with another mom who needs to hear this too. Motherhood is a journey that brings immense joy and fulfillment 🌸. It's a role that requires patience, selflessness, and unconditional love ❤️. As a mother, you have the power to shape a tiny human's life, watch them grow, and help them discover the world 🌎. It's a privilege and a responsibility that can be both exhilarating and overwhelming 😍. The hardest part of motherhood is often the emotional labor, the sleepless nights, and the constant worrying 😩. It's the feeling of being responsible for another human being's well-being, safety, and happiness 💔. But despite the challenges, motherhood is also incredibly rewarding 🎁. Seeing your child smile, laugh, and thrive makes every sacrifice worth it 🌈. In the end, motherhood is a journey that changes you in ways you never thought possible 🌱. It tests your limits, pushes you to grow, and teaches you to love unconditionally 💖. So, to all the mothers out there, remember that you're not alone 🤗. You're part of a sisterhood of strong, brave, and selfless women who are doing their best to raise tiny humans into compassionate, kind, and responsible adults 💪. 1. #MotherhoodUnplugged 🌸 2. #GreatestThingHardestThing 💔 3. #MomLife 🤗 4. #ParentingChallenges 😩 5. #EmotionalLabor 💼 6. #SleeplessNights 😴 7. #ConstantWorrying 🤯 8. #MotherlyLove ❤️ 9. #PrivilegeAndResponsibility 🌎 10. #RewardsOfMotherhood 🎁 11. #MotherhoodJourney 🌱 12. #GrowingAndLearning 📚 13. #SelflessLove 💖 14. #UnconditionalLove 🌈 15. #MotherhoodSupport 🤝 16. #SisterhoodOfMothers

Motherhood, baby it’s no easy task and definitely not for the faint at heart! The challenges, responsibility and emotional, physical and mental effort that you have to dedicate day in and day out can first of all (wear you out) if you’re not careful,to take the necessary precautions to ensure that you’re preparing your mind to undertake such demands and obstacles being thrown at you. That’s why it’s so imperative to get clear on what our true struggles and needs are in our parenting journeys so we’re not barely making it throughout our work weeks dragging ourselves through day to day, constantly feeling like we’re barely hanging on… but instead we’re taking the initiative to identify our needs, and seeking out solutions to serve them. So we can start thriving in our mind, body and spirits. Motherhood isn’t just about showing up, it’s about being able to assess the needs of your family, provide them with the support and resources they need to develop, nurturing and guiding our children through even the most difficult times of their development, and being that backbone that they need, that anchor that’s always there keeping them grounded, and connected to the values and principles that we stand on, despite of living in a society where uncertainty is the norm. But we can’t operate in that capacity if we’re not doing that inner work that’s required and that’s the truth! Can I get an amen?🙌 #Motherhood #EmpowerHer #TheMomBossCoach

Parenting is a journey full of decisions, both big and small. With advice coming from various sources like books, experts, and well-meaning friends and family, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. However, always remember this: Trust your instincts. You understand your child better than anyone else. Since your child's birth, you've been tuned in to their needs and quirks, noticing even the slightest changes in their behavior, interpreting their unique cries, and feeling their emotions deeply. These instincts are your greatest asset in navigating the path of parenthood. Each child is different, just as each parent-child relationship is unique. What may work for one family may not work for another, and that's perfectly fine. Embrace your individual journey, knowing that your intuition is a reliable guide. In moments of doubt, recall the many times your instincts have steered you right. Parenting doesn't come with a manual, but your heart and intuition are powerful tools that have served you well—and will continue to do so. ✨✨✨✨ Become part of our vibrant community of Mums for FREE! Adolescence — a term most of us are familiar with. It describes the transformative journey teens experience as they grow into young adults, encompassing physical, psychological, and hormonal changes. But how many of us have heard of of the term - matrescence? I hadn’t until recently. Matrescence refers to the equally profound physical, emotional, and hormonal transformation a woman undergoes when she becomes a mother. Here’s the question: While society is often understanding and supportive of the challenges of adolescence, why are mothers going through matrescence expected to “bounce back” to their pre-motherhood selves? I have heard some deeply insensitive comments during this period: “Stop being ungrateful—motherhood is a blessing.” “Things will get easier soon.” “You’ll feel like yourself again before you know it.” Statements like these dismiss the profound and permanent changes that come with motherhood. They diminish our experiences, leaving mothers feeling unseen and unsupported. Society takes motherhood for granted in so many ways, negating the challenges and transformations we endure. It’s time to change the narrative—to acknowledge and validate matrescence as the life-altering journey it is. Mothers, your experiences matter. Your transformation deserves to be recognized, respected, and supported. Have you heard of matrescence before? How has this transition shaped your life? #Matrescence #MotherhoodJourney #Empathy #SupportMothers

In the journey of parenthood, the role of a father is profound and indispensable. Fatherhood is not just a title; it’s a commitment to nurture, guide, and love with the same depth and dedication as any parent. I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact fathers have on their children’s lives. Too often, our society diminishes the role of fathers, relegating them to secondary importance compared to mothers. But the truth is, fatherhood is every bit as crucial to a child’s development as motherhood. As a therapist specializing in relationships and parenting, I’ve witnessed the incredible impact that engaged and present fathers have on their children’s lives. The bond between a father and child is unique, filled with moments of joy, growth, and mutual learning. A nurturing, engaged father provides a sense of security, bolsters confidence, and models healthy masculinity. His presence (or absence) leaves an indelible mark on his children’s psyches. To all the dads out there pouring themselves into their children’s lives: I see you. I honor you. Your role is invaluable. The way you show up, fully present and engaged, will echo through generations. You are doing monumentally important work. This Father’s Day, let’s celebrate all that fatherhood encompasses - the laughter, the tears, the sleepless nights, the unshakable love. Parenthood knows no gender; it flows from the heart. And the hearts of devoted fathers blaze just as bright. #Fatherhood #Parenthood #EqualParenting #MensWork #RelationshipTherapy #EngagedFathers #LoveAndGrowth #mensmentalhealth #mensmentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthexpert #fatherhoodmatters #fathersday #parentingexpert #parenting101 #parentinglife
