Ever wondered how the most annoying things somehow become your favourites? Or how someone else’s preferences gradually become your own? The #ExposureEffect That’s because when you’re exposed to something for a long time or repeatedly, you start noticing and eventually liking it. This is known as cognitive bias. Most brands leverage the exposure effect to increase brand awareness or enhance their brand presence. The more often you're exposed to a brand and encounter its ads at different touchpoints, the more likely you are to recognize and even start liking that brand—especially if you have no strong opinions otherwise! This is a key strategy in most marketing campaigns. And by the way, it’s not just limited to marketing.
