The Revolt campaign for Frazzled, launching on #WorldMentalHealthDay yesterday, breaks away from the typical approach and that’s exactly why it stands out and will resonate with so many of us. We’ve all experienced it, engaging in small talk while silently struggling inside. This campaign taps into that feeling, balancing a serious message with a light humorous touch, something that can be very hard to pull off. Despite how common these polite conversations are, they're more often than not a mask. According to Frazzled UK, 69% of Brits engage in small talk daily, but 45% rarely or never open up about what’s really going on beneath the surface. When one honest conversation really does have the power to make a huge difference and lift a weight off. Well done to the brilliant team at Revolt for delivering a campaign that not only raises awareness but invites us to have those much-needed honest conversations 👏

A pleasing result at court for my High Hard Fraud Team - https://lnkd.in/gfXnHg8Z This case featured on the BBC sounds podcast - https://lnkd.in/gEzZFAXk which explored the difficulties with investigating romance fraud. We have changed our approach to this crime type, recognising both the financial and emotional effect on victims. By working closely with the victim and supporting them, we were able to gather sufficient evidence to charge the suspect leading to a guilty plea. Historically convictions for romance fraud are few and far between, but this is changing. We have several cases under investigation at this time and am confident I will be posting further news of successful cases. I have to admit it upfront: I'm a huge Bad Boys fan. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence make an unbeatable buddy cop duo. BB4 had me laughing out loud multiple times, and the action scenes were just fantastic. And it's Miami! But let's address the elephant in the room: the slap incident involving Will Smith. It's a topic I've found myself thinking about frequently, and it brings me to a broader point about fame and influence. When individuals reach a certain level of celebrity, power, or success, there's a risk of surrounding oneself with yes-men who validate every action or statement, leading to a detachment from reality. They can lose the ability to discern appropriate behavior and act on impulse when reason is required. We all stumble; I've certainly had my share of metaphorical and actual slaps. The key takeaway here is the importance of surrounding oneself with individuals who aren't afraid to keep you grounded.
