Love this CGI OOH campaign from Elf Cosmetics. This video has over 7 million views on TikTok, now that is some serious brand awareness! So what can we learn from it? 🤔 - Telling a story matters - Utilise memorable environments - Moving with the times is crucial We all know that creative is the biggest contributor to the success of a campaign, people want stories. We live in a world that is fighting for attention and the only way to stand out is to resonate with your audience. I love how they have showcased their product by utilising technology. But not only have they moved fast in creating a memorable CGI ad. They have used a U.S landmark, something that catches every eye. Anyone that see's this is instantly drawn in with Mount Rushmore at the forefront. This helps with brand recall. It helps word of mouth, "did you see that CGI pimple ad with Mt Rushmore?" It's so simple but so effective. I remember a creative strategy from Saatchi & Saatchi over a decade ago where they utilised Christ The Redeemer in a campaign for a Brazilian Tequila. Same concept, same success. What ad have you seen recently that stood out from the crowd?

Fake out of home ads are tired and done. Brand partnerships are tired done. Except... when they're done well. E.L.F. Cosmetics' success with both (Mount Rushmore fake out of home; Liquid Death partnership) shows that even when it's too late for a brand to be a first mover in adopting new trends and technologies, it's never too late to have a fresh and original approach. The only thing to get wrong is jumping on a bandwagon without a point of view and creating humdrum work.
