Collaboration was the word of the day! My day started meeting the infectiously passionate and driven Ruth Dearnley OBE of STOP THE TRAFFIK Group, along with their Director of Technology and all-round data intelligence guru, Tom Higgens. We delved into the art of the possible within the built environment, exploring how we can share and utilise intelligence to identify instances of exploitation and modern slavery. Stop the Traffik's actionable insights and impact in other sectors are inspiring. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we aim to learn from these sectors that are ahead of us. A big thank you to Dame Sara Thornton and Martin Buttle for the invitation. Emma-Jane (EJ) Allen AIEMA and I will provide an update and next steps at the next #BuiltEnvironmentAgainstSlavery meeting in September. In the afternoon, following the launch of the Responsible Sourcing of HVO paper in June, a few main contractors came together to discuss what a consistent standard and assurance requirements might look like. Angie Prior and Sarah Lynch, it was a pleasure meeting you both. Thank you to Luke Robinson for bringing us all together and hosting, and I suppose it was nice to see you again as well, Ben Stone 😉. A day of new (and old!) connections and endless possibilities! #Collaboration #Sustainability #BuiltEnvironment #ModernSlavery #ResponsibleSourcing #HumanRights #IntelligentData #JustTransition #ImpactfulChange

Restoration Place Counseling is a great cause, as I've heard from Rick and others as well. Mental health is critical, especially given the stresses so many people face today. Please consider helping them out with any size of contribution (link is below). #mentalhealth #endthestigma #mentalhealthawareness
Will you join us? Rick Wilburn, the Founder of Wilburn Medical USA, donated $10,000 to Restoration Place Counseling as a matching gift to encourage others to support affordable women's counseling. Most people don’t realise that half of all UK charity income is earned. Fundraising, philanthropy and grants are important, obviously, but that’s only half the picture. In this conversation, in the excellent company of Irene Sobowale and Naomi Hulston, we explore that “hidden half”, looking at what it takes for service delivery charities to succeed, and how they can collaborate and innovate to have a wider systemic impact. https://lnkd.in/duvC5y-j
