Earlier this month, I closed the book on an incredible college journey. Balancing academics with being an active member of five societies was no small feat – challenging but incredibly rewarding! From organizing events and late-night meetings to making lifelong friends, every moment was worth it.✨ As I look back, I realize it’s the little things that will stick with me the most. Late-night assignments, rushing to the canteen between classes, college fests, society events, and practicals are all behind me now. To everyone who’s believed in me, shared wisdom, or just shared a laugh – you’ve made this ride not just bearable, but downright enjoyable. 💗 A small piece of advice for Incoming Students : ➡️ If your path to your desired college hasn't gone as planned, it's important to remember that success isn't defined by your initial destination but by the journey itself. ➡️ Embrace the opportunities your college offers and immerse yourself in its unique environment. ➡️ Each institution holds valuable experiences and lessons waiting to be discovered—it's up to you to explore and leverage them for personal growth. ➡️ College is more than a destination; it's a transformative phase of life. Beyond academics, it's about embracing growth through community, exploration, and personal discovery. ➡️ Approach your college years with curiosity and determination, knowing that every challenge and triumph contributes to your evolving story. (PS : taking along this Yaadon ka Pitara with me)💗

Day 1 is in the books. I'm exhausted, but my heart is full. Every high school needs this camp. Today we explored core values with 40 teens. Together with the parents, I reminded the students (and parents) that what we really want is not actually entrance to a fancy college... What we REALLY want is a happy, meaningful, successful life. And we know that getting into a great college will help set us on the right track for that kind of life. But ironically, if we behave in high school as if our future success depends on getting into that great college, then the flashy college won't be interested in us. Instead, if we focus on becoming the kind of people who can add value to the open market, to solve problems that need to be solved... Then along the way we begin to realize that we will be successful with, or without admission to Harvard. And when you know you will be successful wether or not you get into Harvard, that is when Harvard begins to pay attention to you. So the students strip themselves of the desperate energy of college admissions. Because... if you work SOOOO hard in order to have a chance to get into your dream college, but the whole time you know that you might not get in anyway, no matter how hard you work... It is often a stunning level of stress on a young person. But when you realize that you are developing yourself into exactly the person you want to become, knowing that by becoming this person, you (almost accidentally) increase your chances of catching the attention of your dream college, it doesn't feel high risk any more. Because it is not high risk. You are becoming the best version of yourself. While giving yourself your best shot at admission to a great college. After this introduction to the course, we dismissed the smiling parents, and began exploring core values for the next 8 hours. The assistant teacher assigned by the school to support me even got emotional and told me "every high school in the world needs this!" Unbelievable day. I can't wait until tomorrow!

Happy National First Generation College Student Day! Today, we celebrate the resilience and determination of first-generation college students—those who are breaking barriers, creating new opportunities, and paving the way for future generations. Did you know that nearly one-third of college students in the U.S. are first-gen? These students, whose parents did not attend college, face unique challenges, from navigating the application process to overcoming financial hurdles. But despite these obstacles, they prove time and again that with grit, perseverance, and hard work, anything is possible. First-generation students don’t just succeed—they inspire. They bring diverse perspectives, drive change, and set an example for their families and communities. Their stories are the embodiment of courage and determination, showing that success in higher education isn’t just about resources, but about heart and hustle. I AM PROUD TO BE FIRST GEN! Breaking barriers, creating new pathways, and proving that we belong here! #FirstGenPride #BreakingBarriers #FirstGenerationCollegeStudent #HigherEducation #Trailblazer #AcademicSuccess #FirstGenStrong #CollegeBound #InspiringTheFuture #IAmFirstGen

🚨 Attention Seniors! 🚨 Early college application deadlines are fast approaching—don’t miss out! Applying early can give you a head start in your college journey, but it’s important to know the difference between Early Decision and Early Action: 🔗Early Decision is binding—if you’re accepted, you must attend that college. ⌛ Early Action is non-binding—you’ll get an early response, but you’re not committed and can make your final choice by May 1. Make sure your applications are ready, and if you have questions, your ACCESS advisor is here to help! #CollegeBound #EarlyDecisionVsEarlyAction #CollegeApplicationSeason #PlanYourFuture

As you start to visit college campuses it's important to ask the right questions. However, let's redefine what it means to ask the right questions. It's not about the questions you think you "should" ask; it's about the questions that truly matter to you. DISCOVER YOUR PRIORITIES: What truly matters to you in your college experience? Are you passionate about specific academic programs? Curious about campus culture and extracurricular opportunities? Concerned about financial aid and scholarship options? ASK WHAT MATTERS TO YOU: Don't hesitate to ask about the aspects of college life that are important to you. Whether it's research opportunities, support services, or housing options, your questions should reflect your interests and concerns. CHALLENGE ASSUMPTIONS: Don't ask questions just because you think they're expected. Challenge assumptions and explore topics that you are genuinely curious about. EDUCATE YOURSELF: Gather firsthand knowledge about the school. Do some research before you go, take the official tours, attend information sessions, and interact with current students and faculty members. EMPOWER YOURSELF: The college search process is about finding the right fit for you. Ask questions about your interests. Seek out the information you need to make informed decisions. Most importantly, as you start visiting colleges, have fun exploring!
