Great example of a microaggression. They’re always subtle. Look at the interviewer’s body language. Does his attitude/behavior reflect his words? These situations are very common in healthcare too, where female physicians are frequently asked if they are supporting staff. There’s no problem in being a stewardess, a nurse, or physician assistant in the healthcare world.
