Some of our team members are currently studying CMI qualifications at various levels, so in the office today, we got talking about the following… 💡 The Johari Window 👀 This models how giving and receiving feedback affects self-awareness. The four window panes represent interdependent areas of self-awareness - changes in one affect the others. The panes are: 🔹 Arena : The 'public' self. Open to self and others. 🔹 Blind Spot: The 'hidden in plain sight' self. Known to others, hidden from self. 🔹 Facade: The 'private' self. Known to self, hidden from others. 🔹 Unknown: The 'mystery' self. Unknown to all and linked to our subconscious. The more self-aware we are, the more we reduce our ‘facade’, ‘blind spot’ and ‘unknown’ areas - ultimately increasing our openness and understanding.
