The second half of the Count Down to Paris doco will be on ABC News Channel at 6.30 tonight. Or you can catch the whole program on ABC iview and on the ABC News YouTube channel. I am so ridiculously proud of having co-produced this show for a number of reasons. Firstly, I am so ridiculously proud of the athletes who let us follow their journey, especially Jamieson Leeson for allowing me to be a part of her life for several months as I interviewed her and came to her training and competitions. Secondly, the documentary follows both Olympic and Paralympic athletes, this is important. A lot of people tend to see the Olympics as the absolute pinnacle of sport for all athletes, but the Paralympics, in terms of being the pinnacle for disabled athletes, holds the same weight and value as the Olympics. Never forget this. Olympians and Paralympians are all talented, motivated, passionate individuals when it comes to their sport— and our documentary shows this. The Olympics start next week and the Paralympics being on August 28th. [Video description: a selection of shots of athletes doing their sports, including cycling, kayaking, Boccia, climbing and diving. All the athletes are sharing what the Paris games will mean to them. Text them alles on the screen explaining we’ve been following these athletes journeys since late 2023 for the count down to Paris documentary.] #Olympics #Paralympics #SportMedia #Documentary #Empowerment #Leadership

TIME2 CARE. Campaign to have it in part of the Olympic Games INTENT. As humans, we have a mind that can discern, If you have an intent, you have a motive and purpose. Using the power of intention teaches us something that shapes the person that we are becoming. Make chess a social activity. Celebrate achievements. TIME2B. Chess is often considered a psychological sport because it requires a high level of mental focus, strategic thinking, and the ability to anticipate and respond to an opponent's moves. Players must manage their emotions, maintain concentration, and make decisions under pressure, all of which are psychological skills. TIMESHARE. In short, Chess teaches us to take action. After all, a game of chess is all about pattern recognition, finding new opportunities, and attacking the opponent. Just think that your problems are your opposing player, and you're Don't sit around and simply tell yourself that it's okay to be weak.

𝐄𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 In the pursuit of Olympic excellence, athletes push their bodies to the limits, seeking to achieve the perfect combination of power, precision, and efficiency. But behind every record-breaking performance lies a science that is often overlooked—ergonomics. By understanding and applying ergonomic principles, athletes in various disciplines can optimize their movements, reduce the risk of injury, and maximize their performance. Let’s explore how ergonomics is crucial in sports like Pole Vault, Gymnastics, Air Pistol, and Fencing. Ergonomics is the unsung hero behind many Olympic victories. The Olympic and Paralympic games have a special way of reminding us that we can literally do ANYTHING we dedicate our hearts and minds to. In our personal lives, the "journey to gold" looks different for every single one of us. No matter what, we all have the ability to create and implement a winning formula that'll help us achieve our goals. In the spirit of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games, we challenge you to carve out some time to define YOUR vision (i.e. what do you want to win gold in?) and to come up with YOUR winning formula (i.e. what actions will you take to make it happen?). Check out this 2016 article from our Founder, Keenan Harrell to get you started! https://lnkd.in/eqvhBeyz

Happy Friday!! In this picture, I am with Ryan Hall in Santa Rosa, California. Ryan was waiting for his wife, Sara Hall, a professional American distance runner who has had an impressive career as well. Both Ryan and Sarah attended Stanford University. Ryan is a retired American long-distance runner "who made great achievements in both half marathons and marathons. He represented the U.S. at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games in the marathon event, and he holds the U.S. record in the half marathon with an impressive time of 59 minutes and 43 seconds. Ryan was the first American runner to break the one-hour barrier in the half marathon. Here are some key points about him: -Marathon Accomplishments: Hall ran the fastest marathon ever by an American, completing the Boston Marathon in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 4 minutes, and 58 seconds. However, this time is not eligible for a record due to the course being point-to-point and net downhill. -He won the marathon at the 2008 U.S. Olympic trials and finished tenth in the Olympic marathon in Beijing". #RoadToParis #MarathonRunner #26.2millas #42K #26.2miles #TributoALaMarchaDeLasMujeresEnVersalles #MarathonRunner #TributeToWomen's-March-on-Versailles #MexicanosEnUSA #USA#México #France #Runner #California #Paris2024 #LA1984 #LA2028 HOKA Garmin Nike ASICS International Olympic Committee – IOC LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 Microsoft Stanford University Source: Copilot

Olympians are just normal people... Normal people with extraordinary dedication. Normal people with unwavering consistency. Normal people with a laser sight on their specialty. Stephen Nedoroscik is a prime example of the power of specialization. Making his Olympics debut this year, Stephen traveled to Paris with Team USA for exactly one event: the pommel horse. All day prior to taking the competitive 'field', Nedoroscik watched other events unfold, cheered on teammates, and prepared mentally for his time to compete. Then it was finally time. He took off his glasses, leveled his sights on the pommel horse, and executed an impossible routine with unearthly precision. His performance in this one event helped secure the United States' first Olympic medal since 2008. How can we take this inspiring story out of competitive sports and into the professional 'Olympics'? Maybe it's time to ask ourselves this question: If we became laser-focused on our specialty, what 'firsts' could we accomplish, and what goal could we actualize? #olympics2024 #olympics #specialization #interim #interimconsulting https://lnkd.in/eTjYBrTE
