A friend just sold his business and asked me what he would do with the proceeds - He's been watching me help my investors multiply their money and impact and wanted to know what I would do. I told him, congratulations!!! and asked him a few questions. 1. Who are the most important people you want to spend time with? 2. What kind of legacy do you want to leave? 3. What breaks your heart, what problems do you see that you want to solve? 4. Where are you invested now? How is that going? He said he placed most of the proceeds in high-interest savings until he could figure out what to do. I told him I could help and that you needed three specific skill sets. 1. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿 - look at your entire financial picture 2. 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (with Oak & Vine Capital ) 3. 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆. I recommended some great resources I told him about my investment journey. https://lnkd.in/gUWx-Kbe Then I shared why I love investing in alternative assets → to get the #triplewin Win #1 - consistent cash flow through regular distributions. Win #2 - appreciation - share in the appreciation as an asset gains value Win #3 - tax savings - many alternative assets and syndications provide excellent tax savings He was excited. The best part I have two opportunities, One for accredited only, and one for those whom I have a relationship with. Oak and Vine private credit fund: On a $100,000 investment We’re projecting a 10-12% yearly return or 11-14% if you compound → 6% preferred paid monthly (~$6,000 /year) → 5-6% profit paid quarterly (~$5,000 - $6,000 /year) If you compound your payouts closer to 11-14% returns or → $11,000 - $14,000 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲: 1. Very stable and conservative 2. GREAT double-digit returns 3. ONLY 2 YEAR HOLD (most syndications are 4-6 years) 4. Great position on capital stack (lower risk) 5. GREAT SPONSOR team. 6. I will partner with non-profits and give away a portion of the company side profits (investors still receive full returns) to start building generosity into the culture of Oak & Vine Capital Investors! What would you do if you just sold your business? What would you do with $1M cash?
