Buru Energy Ltd (ASX:BRU, OTC:BRNGF) CEO Thomas Nador sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio after the company entered a farm-in agreement with Sabre Energy Pty Ltd to finance the drilling of the Rafael Shallow #oil target within licence EP 428 in Western Australia's onshore Canning Basin. Under the agreement, Sabre Energy will cover $6 million in drilling and testing costs, earning a 50% stake in any commercial discovery and subsequent production licence. Buru retains a 50% interest and operational control. Additionally, Sabre will pay Buru $1.5 million for prior exploration expenses if a commercial discovery is made. Buru has estimated the Rafael Shallow target to hold 3.2 million to 79 million stock tank barrels of recoverable oil, with a best estimate of 19 million barrels. 🚢 Constellation Oil Services Secures $130 Million Contract for Lone Star Rig in Brazil 🇧🇷 Constellation Oil Services has been awarded a new contract for its semi-submersible rig, Lone Star, by Brazilian independent driller Brava Energia. The 400-day charter, set to begin in late 2025, is valued at $130 million, with an additional 60-day priced option. This contract reflects a dayrate of approximately $325,000 and covers offshore operations in Brazil, though it does not include integrated services or managed pressure drilling activities. Have you heard about Perdido Spar? The Perdido Spar is believed to be the world’s deepest subsea well. It is located in the Gulf of Mexico and being operated by Shell in collaboration with other Oil and Gas production companies. It is situated 200 miles off the coast of Galveston, Texas and the platform structure is a floating production system tethered or chained to the seabed by vertical mooring lines that helps it to maintain stability in deep waters and withstand severe weather conditions. The platform drills through 10,000 feet of water and 9,000 feet of mud, salt, and rock formations. The project aims to produce up to 130,000 barrels of oil and natural gas per day. The first oil was extracted in 2010.  The platform is strategically located to access significant hydrocarbon reserves in three major oil fields: ·      Great White ·      Tiber ·      Perdido The Perdido Spar is an example of modern offshore drilling technology aim at recovery of unconventional resources located in deep subsea.
