Technology within the healthcare sector has caused an increase in clinician burnout. Did you know that a "2019 American Medical Association (AMA) study attributed physician burnout to high volumes of data entry and poor EHR usability?" All clinician groups have a similar complaint. The solution isn't to eradicate technology. Instead, the healthcare sector needs to develop a new IT strategy. #clinicianburnout #healthcareIT https://lnkd.in/gn5Wq9gv

According to a recent survey by the American Medical Association, physician burnout rates have dropped below 50% for the first time since 2020. This positive shift is a promising sign of progress, but there is still work to be done. Key challenges such as excessive administrative tasks and long hours continue to be obstacles for healthcare professionals. Fortunately, technology is stepping up to alleviate some of these burdens. Here's how: 1. Streamlining Administrative Tasks: Delegate record collection to a healthcare technology partner to reclaim valuable time spent on paperwork, allowing for more focus on patient care. 2. Centralizing Medical Histories: Access requested patient data from a single source of truth to reduce search time and minimize the risk of missing critical details. 3. Customizing Medical Records: Collect and organize records by specialty requests using technology to ensure clinicians have all necessary information for effective care planning. 4. Improving Internal Communication: Implement best practices and streamline processes to support seamless data sharing within the organization. Partnering with a healthcare technology provider can assist healthcare organizations in reducing staff burden and prioritizing patient care. Digital transformation is slowly and gradually reshaping the clinical practice In a recent discussion with my colleague, a practicing diabetologist, I was excited to see how digital tools are gradually being integrated into daily clinical practice. The adoption of these solutions adds significant value in several ways: 1.Continuous glucose monitoring allows for remote patient monitoring and timely adjustments to treatment. 2.Patients report high satisfaction due to increased confidence, time savings, and improved treatment quality. 3.A patient-centric approach provides a competitive edge. However, adoption is slow due to: 1. Lack of organized real-world evidence causing skepticism. 2. Need for healthcare professionals to upskill, which takes time. 3. Some patients, particularly the elderly, being reluctant to use digital tools. What do you think about the integration of digital tools into day-to-day clinical practice? #HealthcareInnovation #DigitalHealth #Physicians #ClinicalPractice #HealthTech #PatientCare
