I’m excited to share that I joined the product marketing team at Hex this week! The world’s leading data teams use Hex as an all-in-one data workspace to answer their most important questions. I’ll be working closely with Charles, Ashley, Barry, and many others across the team to bring new products and features to market and tell some great stories along the way. 🔮 When I left my job at Bubble nine months ago to start my own company, I had no idea where it would take me. Here are the biggest lessons I learned as a founder: ▪️ The right co-founder is harder to find than a great idea. ▪️ A bottoms-up GTM motion can be an excuse to avoid hard sales conversations. ▪️ Falling short of big, audacious goals can feel like failing, but it’s the fastest way to grow. When it was time to get a new job, I was extremely thorough in my search and had a laundry list of requirements. Ultimately, I chose Hex for two reasons: 1️⃣ The opportunity to help build the next generational data company: I’m betting on Hex to disrupt the data analytics industry as AI lowers the floor and raises the ceiling. Data work is currently fragmented across silos, and this problem is more acute than ever now that we’re all “data people.” Hex brings everyone and their data workflows together, creating a unified base of knowledge from which novel insights can emerge. 2️⃣ The chance to work with a talented, low-ego team led by a visionary CEO: I’m betting on Barry and the team to ruthlessly prioritize the right problems to solve and growth levers to pull. Everyone I’ve met so far seems to care deeply about their craft, and there’s a healthy sense of urgency to execute across product and GTM to capture the massive opportunity in front of us. 2024 has been a challenging year full of twists and turns, but the payoff was worth it; I learned more than I could’ve imagined and feel eternally grateful for the support I received from my colleagues, friends, and family. The adventure continues as I dive into my new role at Hex and channel my Big Builder Energy™ into all the product launches to come! 🚀 (If you’re interested in joining me at Hex, we’re hiring for some very impactful roles: https://hex.tech/careers/)

We have an interesting problem at RevenueHero... Our product team ships way too quickly. (No, seriously. How else could we have built everything our competitor has been building since 2016 in less than two years? And build it thoughtfully. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) For the longest time, our customers would come on the call and ask us if they can use RevenueHero on a specific channel or for a specific use case. We realized these questions came up not because we couldn't do it. But because they weren't listed anywhere on the website, except our help docs. Our product team has been constantly one-upping us. So it was about time we one-upped the product team. And more importantly, do justice to our prospects and our product. So we went back to the drawing boards, listened to our sales calls, and rewatched Peep Laja's breakdown of our website at least a dozen times. After several jugs of coffee and a few sleepless nights, like any over-caffeinated marketing team would, we launched our new website. But knowing Sudharshan Karthik 🦸, Aaditya S 🦸, Hariharan Ramkumar 🦸, Pranav R 🦸, and the rest of the engineering team, this problem isn't going to go away any time soon. That's why I'm looking to bring a Product Marketer onboard to help us communicate all the interesting use cases to our prospects and customer. So, if you're curious on how to apply, here's the detailed Job Description: https://lnkd.in/gPpVCzu6 PS. I'm always curious to hear feedback on our website. So, drop me a line if you've got feedback/opinions PPS. IMO, this is a good problem to have. #Hiring

I found out about an interesting site today called answerthepublic. You put in your "topic" and it shows you what people have searched Google for in relation. Obviously the first input I could think of was "Revenue Operations" 😜 Some obvious questions came up: 1. RevOps Jobs 2. RevOps manager salary 3. RevOps Analyst salary 4. RevOps job description (Haha, I guess this is why all RevOps job specs look the same 😂) Some interesting ones also came up: 1. RevOps VS Sales Operations 2. RevOps VS Business Operations 3. RevOps VS Marketing Operations I can only assume this is a good thing for RevOps right, people are educating themselves what RevOps is, how it fits in within the org, what does RevOps do that these other role don't? Another interesting search was: 1. RevOps agencies 2. RevOps as a service I know a fair few of my consultant network will be happy to see this!! Personally I love to see these kind of questions, it shows clear interest in learning about RevOps and how it can help their organisation whether they are a Series A start-up or a Large enterprise.

After working as a solopreneur for 3 years, I finally hired my first employee. She starts today. The plan is for her to take over a bit of the social media posting and customer service off me, and I couldn't be happier. I held off on hiring for a long time. I bet most of you did too. My biggest fear was that I hire someone in October, and have to let them go in January because I couldn't afford them... How did I get confident enough to finally pull the trigger? By having clearly defined marketing and sales KPIs. By putting together a custom KPI dashboard that measured the data that ACTUALLY mattered to grow my business, I was able to project revenue safely and realize I had the margin to afford them. Sometimes, business is simple... What you put in increases what you put out... But the only way to understand what you NEED to "put in" to grow your business is marketing and sales KPIs. We are behavior analysts after all... So start taking some data!

SUPER stoked to share that I'm #hiring a #BDR here at Prescient AI . Here’s what I can tell you about Prescient AI that should get you excited: 1. We are not slapping a skin on ChatGPT or Claude and calling ourselves an AI company. Our CEO worked with the team building Watson to beat the best human Jeopardy player ever. Our CTO built Petco’s first Marketing Mix Model (MMM) and ran the data science & machine learning team at Grubhub. We’re the only AI measurement company in the space right now to have unlocked actionable campaign level insights and accuracy for the marketers at brands you know and love. We can re-run models and simulate forecasts daily. Our competitors can't. We can do this 90 days out with 95%+ accuracy. Our competitors can't. And for brands on Shopify or SFCC, we can onboard them in less than a week. Unmatched time to value >>> 2. We’ve been entirely inbound and could continue at this pace to hit our revenue targets this year. Why should this excite you if you’re coming onboard to drive *outbound*? It shows we have PMF in an increasingly difficult market. If you’re interviewing with an organization that is hiring sales talent purely because they need to hit revenue targets and think that throwing BDRs at said target will get them there — run. We see the demand and want to capture more of it. You will pour gas on the fire, not sit there twiddling sticks together trying to make a flame. 3. Our culture is based on the belief that “happy people build great products.” You’ll get a competitive salary, a $100/mo “happiness stipend” to spend on whatever you want, unlimited PTO, all the gear you need to work at your best, no one will be slacking you at 8 pm, and everyone here is genuinely brilliant, motivated, and awesome. These are folks I enjoy working with and we get shit done ✨together✨ 4. We are investing in a ton of FUN events. Part of your job will be to find folks to invite and coordinate sign ups & follow ups, but we also want you to come along! You’ll make new friends with folks within the ecosystem (tech partners, agencies, brands) while out with us at the golf course, putting Arnold Palmers on the company card. About you: - In a perfect world, you’re in Orange County or LA — I want us to be able to work together a few times a month, lunches & coffees on me (but this is definitely a remote-first position) - You’re an exceptional communicator, organized, and creative - You’ve got at least one reference from an AE or manager who would HYPE you up - You probably put a little too much of your identity into your work and are ferociously committed to being the best - You have customer/prospect-facing experience (this could be a great role for someone looking to transition to sales from CS/recruiting) If this is you, feel free to shoot me an email, LinkedIn dm, text, phone call, voicemail, carrier pigeon, etc This is such a special opportunity and I can't wait to bring someone amazing onboard! 🥳

Want to turn data into action and be the hero behind the scenes? I’m on the hunt for a Business Insights Manager for PLAION UK, and if you love numbers, insights, and gaming, this could be your dream role! 🕹️✨ As part of the Commercial Insights team, you’ll be the wizard who conjures up monthly, quarterly, and yearly trading reports, transforms raw data into strategic gold, and ensures that PLAION’s global partner distribution is running as smoothly as a well-oiled gaming console. What will you be up to? 🟢 Delivering trading reports that’ll make the EMEA territories look like the next big gaming release 🎮 🟢 Crafting actionable insights from pre-order and sales data (basically, predicting the future, but with numbers) 🔮 🟢 Working your magic with dashboards and insights to make sure every campaign and sales strategy is on point 📈 🟢 Making data collection and reporting feel as easy as leveling up your character ⚡ What we’re looking for: 🟢 You’ve got serious data analysis skills and you’ve used them to drive business growth (preferably in gaming or entertainment, but if you’ve made magic happen elsewhere, we’re open to hearing your story) 🟢 You’re comfortable with Excel (VBA, anyone?), Power BI, and maybe even Python/R (or at least a couple of cool tricks up your sleeve) 🟢 You can present insights like a TED talk, but with less PowerPoint and more “Wow, that makes so much sense!” moments 🟢 You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive on finding patterns that others may have missed 🧐 If you want to join a team that’s redefining the gaming and entertainment industry (and you know your way around a good set of numbers), we’d love to hear from you! 🎮 Apply now or DM me if you want to learn more about this amazing opportunity #Hiring #JobAlert #BusinessInsights #DataMagic #GamingIndustry #PLAION #PartnerBusiness #DataDriven #LevelUpYourCareer #Recruitment #CareersWithPlaion

Have you ever had been on a situation where you are trying to reach a person from LinkedIn - like a HR, a front-end dev, a CTO - but the person hasn't accepted your connection yet, and you really wanted to send a message or email about a job position, asking for some help, etc? I found a great tool to searching for contact info of company employees. The name is RocketReach. You can search for people based on location, job position, company name, person's name, profile description... there's a lot of filters! However, on the free tier, you can only see the 10 first results. For some cases it might be enough for you, but I think that if you have some cash running around your wallet, it is a nice idea to get to use it on RocketReach. Hope it helps you! https://lnkd.in/dznyBEqy #engineer #tech #frontend #backend #web

I was applying for a Director level job at DuckDuckGo, but they're only hiring in NA. So... I just wrote a whole thing that's now useless. Here it is below, someone should read it (keep in mind I was in a rush to write this, and I found out I'm not eligible before I could tidy it up). I should read the whole ad next time. ⬇️⬇️ I want to try something new with DuckDuckGo and I'm going to talk about that, instead of me (if you don't like this, I'm unlikely to get hired there any way). Now, I'm going big or going home. DuckDuckGo needs to come out with a campaign that stomps all over the competition. DuckDuckGo gives better results than Google, it delivers better results than Bing, and there isn't another search engine in that conversation. Right now, our slogan is "Privacy Simplified", there's a lot to play with there. SO, we create a campaign with ads like "We deliver results, and not whatever AI generated garbage created this expression" (a guy is weirdly looking at screen). and a browser ad that goes, "our default mode is private, and we're not tracking info at any point, plus we leave your RAM alone even if you opened 2 tabs at the same time". and we also create video ads, where one person walking the street asks another "hey how do I juggle?" the guy just starts talking about how hard he has it juggling careers and family while taking intrusive notes about the asker. And our caption goes "search should be simple". Also, an ad where someone browses the net and scrolls past the AI stuff, we add "when did this become acceptable? Search Should be Simple". And a whole bunch of memes on social about how we offer security and Chrome/Google and Edge/bing are now the new glue eaters that Internet Explorer was. We strategically place those ads in places/subs/communities people visit when they're tired of Google's AI-based shennanigans.
