With this, we officially wrap up the ReachSci stem mini-Ph.D. program. The quest is not to gather publications (though that is a worthy accolade); it's to identify gaps, and dare to bridge them, using research as a tool. * During my Medical Laboratory Science Internship program, at the Jos University Teaching Hospital-Nigeria, I had the opportunity of completing a month rotation in APIN Public Health Initiatives and the North Central Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory. The professional adventure exposed my curiosity to the diagnostic interception between human immunodeficiency virus and Tuberculosis. Guess the questions are being answered with growth. 🎥 How Documentaries are Shaping the Futures of Healthcare Professionals 🥼     How do we make sure medical students make informed career decisions? How do we motivate them to consider professions they don’t yet know that much about?    In order to address these issues, we collaborated with the Leiden University Medical Center to create short documentaries that showcase a day in the life of different medical professionals, focusing on under-exposed professions. This way, students can easily get a more realistic view of these professions, helping them choose a profession that fits and interests them.    This project is part of a larger Comenius Fellowship project, aiming to create a digital internship. LLInC members Nathan Saucier, Naomi van Hattem-Nijkamp, and Sebas Muñoz' contribution to the project consists of the capturing of various medical professionals’ everyday interactions at work. This did not just involve showing up one day and filming, but required planning and meeting with the medical professionals in advance to work out what interactions would be captured, while also leaving space for unplanned events throughout the day.    Students who already had the chance to view the documentaries reacted positively, some even saying they now had more interest in pursuing one of the professions shown.
