Recently at a 110kV SUB STATION: During a site visit at a mid-voltage sub station, we´ve detected some ultrasonic noise at a stirrup clamp. The on screen severity assessment told immediately that is just corona, means discharge to the air and in most cases harmless. The Si2-series is a game changer for partial discharge detection. On screen PD classification and severity assessment are helping the end user to make fast decisions already on-site for avoiding breakdowns or even bigger catastrophes. Why is RAMBSS such a safe solution for storing and charging lithium batteries from E-Foils, Seabobs and other toys? -The system will monitor internal temperature automatically with connectivity to phones, tablets and monitors for remote monitoring via a browser-based application. -Additional alarm features include dry contact connections directly to the vessel´s Alarm and Monitoring Systems, as well as an audible alarm from the modules -A visual OLED display shows the status inside the module. -The batteries are charged within the modules and If the batteries overheat during charging, the internal charging will automatically stop. -If the internal temperature continues to increase, indicating a thermal runaway, the extinguishing process will automatically begin using Trident extinguishing agent and freshwater flooding. The cells are instantly extinguished and cooled, preventing propagation to other cells and stopping the thermal runaway process. -If cells do re-ignite, the extinguishing process will re-start again. -Dangerous gases are vented through a patented EXO-SYSTEM, neutralising and cooling dangerous gasses including Hydrogen and Hydrogen Fluoride. -An internal explosion is not a problem as the modules are tested and certified as “Explosion Proof” to the rated capacity of 6kWh. The modules are certified by TUV-NORD DMT for FIRE – EXPLOSION – REMOVAL OF DANGEROUS GAS. TUV-NORD DMT are an accredited test institute of Lloyds and DNV. Testing and certification is due to complete at the end of September 2024. Installations will begin in October 2024 beginning with a large newbuild yacht at a prestigious European shipyard.
