Most people think undernutrition is the only cause of malnutrition but this is incorrect. Malnutrition actually addresses three broad groups: Undernutrition which is a deficiency in nutrients; Overweight or obesity is when a person is heavy for their height; Micronutrient-related malnutrition which is a lack of vitamins and minerals that are essential for the body's functions. #globalcitizen #TheGlobalBlueprint #EdutainmentBD #KidsRightsChangemakerFB #bottomup #YNOTCampaign

😇Last year, I attended my first-ever session on malnutrition and it was truly eye-opening📕🌾Malnutrition is a widespread issue that affects millions of people worldwide, and yet it's often overlooked. Did you know that malnutrition is not just about hunger, but also about consuming the wrong foods or not getting enough nutrients? Malnutrition can lead to a range of health problems, from fatigue and weakness to impaired growth and development in children.👥It can also increase the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. The most common forms of malnutrition are protein-energy malnutrition, iron deficiency anemia, and vitamin A deficiency. These can be caused by a lack of access to nutritious food, poverty, conflict, and even climate change🪷🪷 But the good news is that malnutrition is preventable! By making informed food choices, supporting sustainable agriculture, and advocating for policies that address hunger and nutrition, we can make a difference🧑🏻⚕️📕 Let's work together😍to raise awareness about malnutrition and take action to create a healthier, more equitable world for all! #malnutrition #asia #foodtec #nutrition #diet #dietitian #food #foodsafety #foodbornillness #nutrientrich 🌾🥰
