Today, a Norwegian CCUS business delegation, led by the Norwegian embassy, was visiting to understand the CCS value chain in Denmark and what role DTU Offshore plays in ensuring a fast pace and sustainable upscaling of CCS in Denmark. We presented some of the CO2 storage projects we are working on with our industry partners and other CCS research projects we are running, which focus on derisking storage in Denmark, developing CO2 monitoring sensors, and understanding the environmental impact of a potential leak. The meeting resulted in many discussions, which we hope to continue in the weeks to come. Thank you for visiting, Team Norway i Danmark and delegates!

GERMAN, Hamburg October 23-24, 2024 🟢 Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2024 🇪🇺 (day two) No protests today! ✅ But with drones, boats, planes, cars, trucks, trains and even missiles. All they have in common is the use of HYDROGEN. Of course, there are still many challenges and problems, but these technologies work! They walk, fly and develop quickly. ☝️My key conclusions: 🟢GREEN HYDROGEN INDUSTRY GAINS CRITICAL MASS TO START; 🟢🟢SUCH A CONCENTRATION OF IDEAS, EQUIPMENT FOR ELECTROLYSIS, COMPRESSORS, STORAGE SYSTEMS, CONTROL AND DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS, NEW MATERIALS FOR PIPELINES AND VALVES, I did not meet at any exhibition; 🟢🟢 🟢THE TIME COUNTDOWN TO THE GREEN HYDROGEN ERA HAS BEEN STARTED. 📌📌PS. We are actively continuing our research in our new "Green Innovation Lab" in Kyiv and preparing for our first pilot green hydrogen project in Ukraine, which we plan to launch next year 2025, with a capacity of at least one me hi gawatt.

Non-invasive Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) will be deployed for water quality monitoring in the South West regional ports of Dartmouth, Falmouth, and Plymouth. The initiative, led by MSeis, a Somerset-based marine acoustic monitoring company, aims to enhance public understanding of water ecosystems in these ports by providing accessible data on pollution in local rivers and estuaries. The project, called ‘Smart Ports, Clean Waters,’ will involve integrating specialist sensors from Chelsea Technologies into MSeis’ HydroSurv REAV-16 battery-electric USVs. These USVs will collect various water quality data weekly, with results accessible via a cloud-based geospatial platform developed by HydroSurv. Over a 12-month test period, the project will produce detailed weekly datasets, host evaluation workshops with port partners, and enhance integration and survey tactics knowledge. We’re thrilled to announce that constellr's #SkyBee1 (HiVE) is set to take its next big step toward launch. 🛰 After an intense series of tests, including a final "satellite optometrist" checkup, our twin-payload satellite is prepared to monitor the Earth in ways that will revolutionize agriculture and resource management. Equipped with two powerful cameras—one capturing thermal infrared and the other visible and near-infrared (VNIR)—SkyBee 1 will deliver cutting-edge, high-resolution and ultra-precise land surface temperature measurements. This data will be critical in detecting early signs of plant heat stress, optimizing irrigation, and saving billions of tons of water for global agriculture. 🌍💧 With the support of the European Space Agency’s #InCubed program*, we expect SkyBee 1 to lead the charge in our HiVE constellation, helping save 60 billion tons of water in the next 5 years and prevent 14 megatons of CO2 emissions. Not only will this have a significant environmental impact, but it will also deliver enormous value for farmers globally. 🚜🌱 Huge thanks to our partners at Kongsberg NanoAvionics and European Space Agency - ESA for supporting this journey to sustainable space-based solutions. *The view expressed herein can in no way be taken to reflect the official opinion of the European Space Agency. #technicalmilestone #companyupdate #opticaltesting #satellitehardware

The Leonardo Foundation article on Prometheus (Ground Control's Daughter Company) The new fire of Prometheus: Majorana unveils the Kilometro Rosso hydrogen reactor From the highway it is impossible not to notice the Kilometro Rosso. A streamlined vermilion-coloured curtain, precisely one kilometer long, hides from the motorist's gaze a reality that brings together companies and public laboratories in the area, connecting the world of scientific research and that of business. The director is Salvatore Majorana, engineer and manager with international experience, great-grandson of the famous physicist Ettore Majorana. And he is the one who talks to us about the Prometheus project, for the production of hydrogen aimed at creating green energy How was the Prometheus project born? The Prometheus project was born from the intuition of a group of technicians, who, intrigued by a phenomenon they had observed, in an attempt to generate a more ecological car, realized that by inducing a particular reaction in the combustion chamber they were able to have effects unexpected. The challenge of studying those reactions was taken up by Fabrizio Petrucci who put together a team, formed a Newco , and thus started a startup that began to work on the stabilization of these phenomena, work entrusted to the technical guidance of Carlo Miglietta and Dario Calzavara. From 2018 to 2024 we worked to reproduce, control and analyze the phenomenon and obtained certification of the effects produced by the triggered reaction from independent third parties. In a first phase, in fact, what was measured in the laboratories with the available instrumentation was difficult to understand: levels of hydrogen or other substances that could not be correlated with the phenomenon. We went to ask companies and universities (Polytechnic University of Milan, University of Milan-Bicocca) to make measurements with their most sophisticated instruments. Today we can calmly say that we are able to generate a reaction inside a specially designed reactor which at the exit allows us to collect hydrogen to be used to produce green energy. However, we are not able to fully explain why, but we will try to understand it. ... the article in full below https://lnkd.in/e5dS4Dux

For the AirTaxi solutions, Hybrid is the way to go, Hydrogen powered seems to be a better option than the pure battery based attempts, however both the technologies might take some more time to mature. The authorities now have some breather to put up the act together to monitor and manage the additional traffic in the lower airspace. #WALAT3M from AdiBis shall be one of the answers. #SafeSkies
