LIFE WITH #SCS: WHAT YOUR PATIENTS NEED TO KNOW When talking to patients about spinal cord stimulation (SCS), it’s natural for them to worry about how the device might change their day-to-day life. You can let them know that travel is still very much possible with SCS, as long as they keep their patient ID card handy. And while getting an MRI after SCS might seem complicated, it’s often still possible - though it’s something that should be considered individually for each patient. #BSCEMEA #SpinalCordStimulation #ChronicPain

If you have a patient with #ChronicPain who is considering spinal cord stimulation (SCS) treatment, they may have questions about how the device could impact their lives following the operation. To help alleviate concerns, you can reassure patients that that they will still be able to travel once they have an #SCS system, as long as they carry their patient ID cards at all times. You may also want to know how SCS might impact a patient’s eligibility for an MRI scan. It’s important to consider this on a unique case-by-case basis, but it can still be possible for many patients to have an #MRI scan following SCS implantation. 🔗 Sign-up here to access the full referrer kit: https://lnkd.in/dd_ctUjY #BSCEMEA #SpinalCordStimulation
