Normally, you know it from auto shows that the latest models are presented statically on the exhibition displays. Our colleagues from Volkswagen of America, Inc have found a nice way to make our ID. Buzz come alive for visitors at this year's AutoMobility LA: anyone can take a free joy ride at the EV Track Experience located right next to the booth. What a great idea! In this way, you can see for yourself that our new models are 100% VW again – in both traditional strengths and new disciplines. We're returning to historically high standards in quality, materials and value. And we're setting benchmarks in batteries, efficiency, software, ADAS and voice control. And the most important thing: they are simply fun to drive. Just try it out!

Mitchell’s Director of Claims Performance Auto Physical Damage, Ryan Mandell, delivered the keynote address on day two of CARSTAR Canada’s National Conference. His presentation highlighted three key data points impacting production and profitability: total loss frequency, the complexity of vehicle design, and the impact of EV adoption on the industry. Notable insights included: - The percentage of vehicles becoming a total liss has reduced. - 23.47% of major sheet metal components for 2023 model vehicles are now made of lightweight materials, adding to repair complexity and overall parts costs, which have increased by 33.72%. - EVs cost 32% more to repair compared to comparable ICE vehicles.
