Who is Mustafa Suleyman, the new AI chief at Microsoft? Tech giant Microsoft made a big move in the artificial intelligence (AI) battle for supremacy. On Tuesday, the Satya Nadella-led company roped in Mustafa Suleyman, cofounder of Google's DeepMind and Inflection AI, to lead its consumer AI business. Reporting directly to Nadella, Suleyman will be responsible for expanding a consumer AI business. Suleyman has become one of the biggest voices in the AI industry. He cofounded DeepMind, an AI lab in 2010 with others like Shane Legg and Demis Hassabis, now the CEO. Google acquired the London-based DeepMind in 2014, driven primarily by its urge to be at the forefront of the AI revolution it saw coming. DeepMind was merged with Google Brain last year. AI News: Google DeepMind's Gemini 1.5 Pro Takes the Lead! 🥇 For the first time ever, Google DeepMind's experimental Gemini 1.5 Pro has claimed the top spot on the AI Chatbot Arena leaderboard, surpassing OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude-3.5 with an impressive score of 1300.
