We are in the midst of updating the Positive Energy District (PED) framework definition and narrative, engaging extensively with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive update. Stay tuned - results will be available soon! In the meantime, we highly recommend reading this article by Paola Clerici Maestosi, Vice-chair of the PED Steering Group. It offers a systematic literature review of the current state of PEDs in European cities. 🔗 Download the article here: https://lnkd.in/dK_mZzXf #positiveenergydistrict

Jatin Nathwani The distinguished gentlemen are yet to discover an important Green Energy source - Brown's Gas HHO Oxyhydrogen (which was invented in 1973). Brown's Gas is now applied in combustion in industrial settings. However, the omission of information on potentially relevant technologies like Brown's Gas and Oxyhydrogen in the International Journal for Green Energy calls into question the journal's credibility and comprehensiveness. For a publication that claims to cover green energy topics, overlooking emerging solutions such as these raises concerns about the breadth and depth of its coverage. The Modern Energy Report by Andersen Global, which can be read online at the link https://lnkd.in/gvYnVkVJ, does include a mention of Brown's Gas on page 23. This suggests that other industry publications are recognizing the potential of this technology, while the International Journal for Green Energy has yet to do so.I would encourage the editors of the International Journal for Green Energy to take a closer look at innovations like Brown's Gas and Oxyhydrogen, in order to provide a more well-rounded and credible perspective on the evolving green energy landscape. #AirPollution #SouthAsia #CrossBorderIssues #RegionalCooperation #ClimateChange #PublicHealth #Sustainability #Smog #Airshed #IndustryEmissions #Transportation #ElectionYear #PoliticalChallenges

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced seven transportation plans to build a more resilient, affordable, and globally competitive transportation system. The action plans—covering key modes of the transportation sector including maritime, rail, trucking, aviation, and off-road—were developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), along with industry and other stakeholders. The action plans were showcased this week at the 2025 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., where more than 10,000 policymakers, government and industry leaders, and members of academia convened to discuss all transportation modes. Learn more about the action plans and their impact.

https://lnkd.in/e9EXy5qW Myself, Andrew Roberts, PE, CEM, BEAP and Reg Cook will be speaking this month (10/28 - see event link) at the Georgia AEE meeting on a topic that I, frankly, nerd out over a bit too much. That is the development of Energy auditing/Field Data Collection Apps. I am not shy to admit the development and standardization of energy audit processes behind modern data collection software is one of the reasons for our companies' success. It may seem like an odd topic, but it is a really important part of making an Energy Auditing business efficient and profitable. And with so many new tools and customization options, it can get really confusing on what is the best solution for you or your company. Come listen to myself, Andrew, and Reg discuss how these tools have changed the way we do business, and what features and capability are really making the difference.

Yesterday marked a historic moment as the UK closed the doors on its final coal-fired power station, Ratcliffe-on-Soar. This pivotal milestone symbolises the end of an era that once powered the Industrial Revolution and fueled the nation’s economic growth. As we look ahead, our commitment to driving a sustainable energy future remains unwavering. The transition from coal to renewable energy sources is critical to achieving the UK’s ambitious net-zero goals, and ensuring that communities are empowered and supported during this transformation. To delve deeper into the closing of Ratcliffe-on-Soar and explore what lies ahead for UK energy, I recently recorded a podcast with Dr. Aidan Rhodes and Dr. Nadine Moustafa, Ph.D., discussing the challenges and opportunities of this transition.
