📚 Reflecting on History, Freedom, and Responsibility 🌍 Last night, the Dutch Ambassador Paul Huijts hosted the annual Cleveringa Lecture, co-organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in the UK and the Cleveringa Committee London. Professor Remco Breuker 🟥 delivered a thought-provoking lecture, "Where is Cleveringa? The Role of Universities in Times of Polarization and Geopolitical Turmoil". Drawing on the legacy of the 1940 Cleveringa protests, he challenged us to consider how universities can uphold academic freedom and integrity in today’s turbulent world.
