Hi, my name is Santan Dev and I run the regional organization in EMEA for Redington. So when we talk about distribution, traditionally we usually visualize a lot of supply chain solutions, warehousing, logistics, etcetera. But true value added distribution means going beyond the supply chain solutions and really creating capacity. For innovators and helping channel partners take new innovations to the marketplace up to the last mile. To give you an example, we forayed into a cloud computing practice for example, about 6-7 years back. And in cloud computing, you know supply chain is one part of thing you know the software and subscription and consumption supply chain means very different from a hardware supply chain, but it also means creating capacity competencies within. And outside in our channel ecosystem so that we are creating capacity for the channel to take new innovations like cloud computing to the marketplace. Take an example from our volume part of the business which is our PCs and endpoints. For example, in traditionally the distribution would be only managing the warehousing and the supply chain logistics of those PCs, but we have also created an infrastructure to support the PCs post sales as our you know. A PC lifestyle management system warranty and what have you in that space. So value added distribution is going beyond the traditional meaning of distribution and also truly creating capacity for innovation and taking them to the marketplace. To the last one customers are really find it useful because. Technology innovation is happening at a much faster pace than they can be adopted by the market and especially in very remote areas of some of the geographies that we work in. So only supplying the materials and managing the supply chain and logistics of the materials might not be as useful in adoption of those technology unless you create the competencies within and within the channel ecosystem to make sure that they are implemented well, the benefits of the innovation are going. And taken up in the right way by the customers and they are making the most of the innovations that that are taking place. So customers, you know, appreciate all these efforts and they get benefited by all these efforts. So look, you know, there there is one buzzword possibly everybody is talking about, which is AI. And well, we have heard about that buzzword many times, very frequently off late. But AI has been in usage for quite some time. The only difference is the amount of data that can be handled by the computing resources that we have today and the network infrastructure available to, you know, make sure that the data pipeline is reaches to the, you know, the right users, etc. Has made it a new reality that all these models can be implemented easier because they are very resource hungry, for example. So the new trend of course one is AI, secondly, the infrastructure that requires AI and all associated, you know, applications and new Erps, modern applications, all sorts of the number of applications today being produced is more and they are rolling out faster than ever before. That has been made possible because of few developments. You know modern data centers are creating opportunities to build many applications, hosting them. You know, catering to many customers at the same time, the cloud computing has made it really accessible, the, you know, great infrastructure, accessible and democratized use of technology across the spectrum of customers. So all this is helping build more applications, more technology being adopted across. So the trend is to, you know, very, it's a very dynamic world. The trend is that, you know, we see, you know, some of the geographies that we work with, including Africa. In many places there since there is no legacy, they are leapfrogging into the new technology faster than some of the development market. They're very interesting trend and you know that's a, so it's an exciting world in the technology space. We are glad that we are in the right industry in the very exciting times and all these things about you know, the the cloud, the infrastructure otherwise which is required to support and build this new applications on one hand. And then the third important part is securing those digital infrastructure because. More and more companies as they become more digital, they are reliable, reliance on their digital assets is only growing. So the cost of compromise of those assets is also costing them too much. So the risk you know profile is increasing. So the customers have started taking cyber security and other form of information security very seriously. So that is another area where we see that huge development and uptake is happening. We have been in Africa for. Many years now, you know, we have been here for more than 20 years now in Africa, but Africa is a very large continent. It's a very diverse continent. You need to really localize, be there, be present and that has been our idea always. Like everywhere else, we have local operations in many countries. We have ability to transact locally. We have our warehouses locally. So we will continue to invest in different parts of Africa. We are very well entrenched in certain parts of Africa. We are now looking at expanding our. Portfolio and footprint into newer parts and newer geographies within Africa. So it it's going to be a very exciting journey. I just got to hear about the new announcement. You know, I was discussing with someone that it is very difficult to do 1 Jitex for the entire country continent. The new announcement comes as a really welcome move. You know, I want to congratulate the organizing team for announcing the next year's Jitex. Also in Nigeria, we have a very old. Association with Nigeria, we have been present there for many years. Our very large operation in Nigeria, we continue to invest there. We would be looking forward to hosting and welcoming many customers, partners, innovators in the Nigeria addition of Jaytech and I wish them all the best for the next edition. Thank you very much.

Building Bridges of Innovation and Collaboration between Cyprus and the UAE A meeting took place at the Dubai Chamber with Mr. Hans Larsen from the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Mr. Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation, and Technology, and Mr. George Partasides, Commercial Counsellor of the Cyprus Trade Centre in the UAE. This important meeting laid the foundation for exciting collaborations, particularly in the areas of innovation and technology. We discussed the upcoming participation of leading Cypriot companies at GITEX GLOBAL 2024 (October 14-18) in Dubai, where they will showcase their cutting-edge solutions, digital services and IT applications at #Cyprus national pavilion. A special thanks to Mr. Hans Larsen and Mr. Demetris Skourides for their invaluable contributions. Together, we are opening new doors for Cypriot businesses to expand into the UAE and vice versa since Cyprus has a high-level success to European Funds. Cyprus is positioning itself as a gateway for research and innovation, providing UAE companies with seamless access to Europe’s dynamic digital ecosystem. Through initiatives like the Cyprus Innovation Initiative, we aim to create mutual value by connecting our vibrant ecosystems, strengthening Cyprus’ presence on the global digital map.
