Before leaving the factory, the blades will undergo a series of rigorous tests to ensure reliability and durability. At this moment, the flapwise static test is currently underway. 🏗 ⛓ The displacement of blade tip is nearly 40 meters, with the test condition equal to a level 17 typhoon with wind speed exceeding 68m/s. Whenever I see people doubting the safety and longevity of #windenergy, I think of videos like this. These turbine blades are put through rigorous testing to ensure that these installations can endure the worst that Mother Nature can throw at them. This is also why regular maintenance is so key to a successful wind installation. However, these tests can't protect from the effects of icing on a blade in winter - that's where NEINICE comes in.
