Innovation Thrives on Diversity I used to think that innovation was about coming up with the next big idea all by oneself. But I learned something along the way: some of the best ideas aren’t born from one mind—they’re sparked by the collision of different perspectives. There was a time when my team and I were working on a massive supply chain management system and had hit a roadblock. The project had been running for a while and was getting so complex that we felt we were getting lost in the maze. Seeing the same charts, dashboard, and graphs on daily basis, we were all stuck in the same thinking loop until someone from a completely different team gave us a fresh take. It opened our eyes to solutions we hadn’t even considered. That’s when I realized innovation thrives on diversity—not just diversity in backgrounds, but diversity in thought, experiences, and approaches. It’s those unexpected perspectives that push us to think bigger and bolder.
