#baby Some people are very surprised to know that we can evaluate a baby's eyes. We have many objective methods to evaluate a baby's eyes to ensure their eyes are developing properly. It is crucial to get a child's eyes examined as young as possible even if their is no concern to ensure proper development. #kidsoptom #Optometry #norwood #babydevelopment

👁️ COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING DEVELOPING ALL 5 SENSES In this crucial period of development, mealtimes engage infants’ sensory system. Exposure to varied environmental stimuli challenges vision, hearing, touch, taste, and smell to adapt to every interaction. 📄Read through this article by Dr. Sarah Smith-Simpson, ”The development of the 5 senses within children and the impact of complementary feeding,” from Nest 53 to learn more about the relationship of feeding and the individual senses. 📖 Reflecting on Our Journey from 2017 to 2024 📖 As I flipped through our product catalogs from the past 7 years, it’s incredible to see how our designs from 2017 are still thriving in the market. Throughout these years, our company has consistently developed at least one new product annually, with a singular focus: creating solutions that provide comfort for newborns, closely mimicking the embrace of a caregiver. This not only soothes infants but also lightens the load for parents and caregivers. Some highlights of our 3D and 5D multi-angle rocking innovations include: 🔹 Multi-dimensional swinging – Carefully designed to simulate a human embrace, providing better comfort and calming for newborns. 🔹 Movement motion detection – Automatically responds to a baby’s movements, activating calming modes. 🔹 Soothing melodies – Designed to relax and comfort. All these thoughtful and practical features are developed with one purpose in mind—supporting both babies and their parents. 📩 Feel free to request our latest E-catalog and pricing. #BabySwingInnovation #BabyProduct #BabyProductDevelopment #BabyHighChair#ComfortForBabies #BabyRocker

I had the great opportunity to attend 'Masterclass for Proximity of Care' organized by Arup and Van Leer Foundation. The course shares knowledge and tools for creating child and family-friendly interventions in urban settings. 3 key highlights from the course for me are: 1. Structured Learning Journey: The four-week course was carefully organized around the themes of "Understand, Design, Implement, and Influence," providing a clear framework that mirrored the process of designing for Proximity of Care. 2. Introduced diverse Participatory Tools for engagement: A variety of participatory tools to engage different age groups were discussed. Activities like "Let’s Play and Vote for Your Favorite Game" for young children and the "Build Your Future City" activity for elder children to engage, involve and draw insights from them, are great ideas we can try in our cities. 3. Designing for Reality: A central takeaway was the importance of designing for people as they truly are, rather than how we wish them to be. This emphasized the intention-action gap, promoting empathy and understanding to create more effective and inclusive design solutions. Proximity of Care Design Guide is a valuable resource for urban professionals.
Last week, we concluded the final session of the Proximity of Care Design Guide masterclass, which we have been running over the past four months, focusing on creating child- and family-friendly cities. The last session, centered on the theme of Influence, emphasizing the importance of designing environments and programmatic activities that encourage and enable positive behaviors. It was an engaging and insightful session featuring two special guests: Sam Sternin from the Van Leer Foundation, who shared valuable insights on designing for positive behavior change, and Ana Maciel from Estúdio+1, who presented the "Feel Free to Breastfeed" project, demonstrating how they implemented the principles of the Proximity of Care Design Guide in practice. Watch the video below, and read this blog for more info: https://lnkd.in/ezAhA9jB We are thrilled to have had 150 participants from a diverse range of organizations join us for this course, enriching each session with their unique perspectives and experiences. It was inspiring to see such global representation, all committed to fostering more inclusive and supportive environments for children and families. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the discussions. Together, we are making a meaningful difference! Over the past four months, I had the great opportunity to participate in the Proximity of Care Design Guide masterclass, organized by Arup and Van Leer Foundation. The class brought together a global community of 150 city authorities, developers, designers, urban practitioners, and early childhood development experts to create urban spaces that cater to the needs of children and families, while promoting and supporting healthy caregiving practices and behaviors. The guide is designed specifically to respond to the needs of three groups of people: children 0-5 years old, their caregivers, and pregnant women living in vulnerable urban contexts. Some of the key highlights that deeply resonated with me are: 1. How can we redefine 'Development markers' and GDPs and work towards enhancing our societies based on care models? Ensuring the well-being of our caregivers and service providers is critical to empowering entire communities and improving the quality of life in cities. 2. Shift our mindsets from looking at childcare and women empowerment as an investment rather than an expense or compliance by policymakers and civil society. 3. Cities are diverse and not made up of homogenous groups. They are diverse and made up of different age groups. We must create flexible socio-economic models that address age- and occupation-specific needs, whether in our public spaces or other infrastructure within our cities. 4. Lastly, designing for people as they truly are—rather than how we wish them to be—bridges the gap between intentions and actions, encouraging empathy and driving more inclusive design solutions. I have had the chance to explore some of the successful care systems implemented in India. Anganwadis, government-funded childcare centers, provide early childhood care and development, and they also form the largest daycare network in the world. I’m excited to apply the insights from this experience to our work, using design as a tool to improve childcare in Anganwadis and creches across India.
