Q Bio Inc. has raised $27 million to commercialise its full-body MRI scanner, a technology that sparks debate in preventative healthcare. While these scans are considered appropriate in specific cases, such as for patients with Li-Fraumeni syndrome, there is no clinical evidence supporting their use for average-risk individuals. Critics could also argue that they could create a false sense of security, leading patients to neglect regular screenings and potentially causing more harm than good. Meanwhile, Ezra has expanded its reach through a new partnership with RAYUS Radiology, offering its services at 150 locations across the U.S., while Neko is concentrating on measuring patient outcomes to bolster the case for full-body MRI.
