I went early in the morning to visit a young (quite rare in Israel) farmer's greenhouse to document how the cucumber bushes look in a row with CompoChar compared to control rows. In the first meeting with him, the farmer did not talk about the understandable need for a bigger crop, but about reducing the use of pesticides in irrigation and spraying. Simply put, he wants people to enjoy his cucumbers without toxins. The CompoChar can stimulate the plant's immune system and it also creates a rich microbial system and other conditions that reduce the development of fungal soil diseases. The CompoChar works like an earthy probiotic yogurt. In the bottom line, we see that if the plant successfully passes the first month of growth and is strong, then it will also be strong against the attacks of pathogens that will come later in the growth. In general, the plants in the greenhouse control rows look good, but there is no doubt that the row with the CompoChar significantly look stronger and more developed. The differences are very clear. We will continue to monitor both this greenhouse and other greenhouses throughout Israel that are dealing with soil diseases that even the worst chemicals are no longer able to prevent. Seed treatments are important because they can help protect crops from diseases and pests, improve germination, and increase crop yield: Protect against disease and pests Seed treatments can protect seeds from diseases like root rot and seedling blights, and from pests like insects and nematodes. Improve germination Seed treatments can help seeds germinate uniformly, avoiding delayed germination or irregular emergence. Increase crop yield Seed treatments can help farmers get a better return on their investment by protecting plant stand and yield potential. Reduce negative impact of weather and field conditions Seed treatments can protect seeds and young plants from weather and field conditions that prevent farmers from applying crop protection products after sowing. #Tstances offers two biological fungicides, Bio Cure-F and Bio Cure-B, that use Trichoderma and Pseudomonas to manage disease: Bio Cure-F: A biological fungicide that uses Trichoderma viride, a beneficial fungus, to control diseases like root rot, root wilt, seedling rot, and color-rot. It can be used on crops like tomatoes, potatoes, and bananas. Bio Cure-B: A biological fungicide that uses Pseudomonas fluorescens. At #matihaat we directly work with farmers, helping them in educating and training good agricultural practices!!! Healthy crops start with strong natural defenses. MOBIOSTIM is rich in bioactive compounds like Cytokinins and Isothiocyanates, which help improve plant immunity and support vigorous growth. -> Cytokinins promote cell division, while Isothiocyanates strengthen the plant’s ability to fend off diseases and environmental stress. This makes MOBIOSTIM an essential addition to your crop management routine. #PlantHealth #SustainableFarming #CropGrowth #BoostYourYield #HealthyPlants

The fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda, is native to the Americas and has become a major invasive pest worldwide since its first observation in West Africa in 2016. FAW is highly polyphagous, feeding on over 350 plant species, including staple crops like maize, sorghum, rice, soybean, and fiber crops like cotton. Unfortunately, it has developed resistance to chemical pesticides, making biological control strategies crucial. In Nepal, National Plant Protection Organization confirmed fall army worm as invasion in a meeting held at Plant Quarantine and Pesticide Management Center on 12th august 2019 based on molecular analysis report. FMW has potential to cause maize yield losses of about 20-25%. In Nepalese farming system, there is highly use of agrochemicals to kill the pest and also misuse of pesticide to maintain the productivity of maize. But what about sustainable way??? Are agrochemicals always cost effective for Nepalese farmer and it is ecofriendly?? Are indigenous seed of maize able to tolerate such type of pest?? Short clip is made to aware the negative impact of invasive pest which multiplication is higher due to climate change. And, special thanks to Prabin Pathak and Pratiksha Pathak for supporting me in video editing and insect rearing. #Awareness #FMW #Sustainable_Agriculture #Climate_change

Why wait until spring to support your crops? 🍂 In this brief video, AEA Founder John Kempf shares his perspective on nutrition management: starting in the fall. By applying the Regenerative Soil Primer now, beneficial bacteria and fungi can continue working through the winter, quietly releasing minerals and breaking down disease-harboring residues. Could fall be the key to unlocking healthier, more resilient crops next season? 🌾 Explore this idea further at https://loom.ly/5SULylU #RegenerativeAg #SoilHealth #FallFarming #HealthyCrops #SustainableFarming

🤔 How does the whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, respond to multiple generations of exposure to the fungus Isaria fumosorosea? Does it develop resistance? #PestControl #SustainableFarming 🌱🐛 Recently, a study discovered that the whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), a notorious agricultural pest globally causing more than USD 5 billion, has not developed resistance to an entomopathogenic fungus, Isaria fumosorosea, even after five generations. This fungus is a natural alternative to chemical pesticides and can effectively invade and damage the reproductive tissues of the whitefly without giving it a chance to resist. 🤨 This discovery is significant because it holds great promise for sustainable pest management. We can all promote sustainable farming and pest control practices using natural alternatives like Isaria fumosorosea. 👩🌾 Let's work towards a healthier and more sustainable agricultural industry! Wood ash is a valuable organic amendment for vegetable crops, offering several benefits. It is rich in essential nutrients like potassium, calcium, and magnesium, which help improve soil fertility and support healthy plant growth. Ash also acts as a natural liming agent, reducing soil acidity and creating a more favorable environment for nutrient uptake. Additionally, it helps deter certain pests and diseases. However, it's important to apply it sparingly, as excessive use can lead to nutrient imbalances or increase soil pH too much.
