Are you skilled in GIS and R/Python etc and interested in developing decision support for how to limit the negative impact on biodiversity etc from transport systems? Apply for this PhD student position at KTH in Stockholm https://lnkd.in/dfTZnT2y You will receive very wise support from the supervisors Cecilia Håkansson, Linus Hasselström, and Xi-Lillian P. The project will contribute to improved decision support for selecting and designing economically efficient transport infrastructure projects by developing tools that make the link between intrusions into the natural environment, biodiversity, ecosystem services, and economic values visible. The project focuses on developing a valuation model for the ecosystem service recreation that is as generalizable as possible, i.e. it can be used independently of what area is under study. This valuation model will be developed using GIS (geographic information systems), workshops, surveys, and machine learning. #KTH #biodiversity #environmentaleconomics
