Reflections – EASA EAA Convention in Porto October was filled with significant experiences that offered valuable insights and learning opportunities. Looking back on the past month, I find it useful to analyze these events, recognizing both achievements and areas for improvement. The EASA Europe, Asia & Africa Chapter Convention in Porto was exceptionally well-organized, held in a beautiful venue with meticulous attention to detail. Although the weather wasn’t entirely on our side, the strong team spirit and camaraderie more than made up for it. We represented Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd. as a four-member delegation: Balazs Sztari, Richard Hujber, Attila Maglódi, and myself. Ganz was also proud to sponsor the event, supporting this important gathering for the industry. The convention provided an invaluable platform for learning, featuring diverse perspectives on both broad topics, such as the EU's current landscape, and specific industry challenges. We recognized emerging talent with the Young Talent Award, and the EASA EAA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to John Allen in recognition of his outstanding service as Vice President, President, Trainer, and global expert. Under Frédéric Beghain's decade of leadership as General Manager, EASA continues to grow significantly. The chapter's president, Edwin den Breejen, introduced the program "Stronger Together, Shaping the Future," which will guide development in the coming years. Special thanks go to Roberta Cancedda for coordinating the event so smoothly. We left Porto with new insights, strengthened connections, and a shared enthusiasm for the future of our industry. A huge thanks to everyone who made this event unforgettable, from the organizers to our peers and partners. Here’s to building on these experiences and reuniting in 2025 for another remarkable convention!
