So grateful after completing three days of kick off seminar for the Horizon Europe project: ‘Vocational Education and Training participation, retention, and educational policies in the wake of COVID-19 – a cross-country exploration’ (VETprep) The project will produce valuable knowledge about vocational education and provide nuanced insights into what motivates young Danes and other young Europeans to choose or reject vocational education and complete or drop out of these programs. 🔍 Key research questions VETprep aims to answer: 1️⃣Why do European youth choose or reject different vocational education pathways? 2️⃣ What factors support young people in staying engaged and completing vocational education, and what causes dropout? 3️⃣ How can future policies and strategies improve the quality and appeal of vocational education? A heartfelt thank you to alle my colleagues from Center for Gymnasie- og Erhvervsuddannelsesforskning, Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark and our partners from University of Valencia, University of Glasgow, The Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, Tallinn University, and Linq Consulting & Management. "Pays Cible" 🎯 - a concept to #foster collaboration between two higher education and research regions. This year, Switzerland had the pleasure to be invited as "pays cible" by Académie de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur - ARES. A Swiss delegation of IRO representatives of Swiss higher education institutions met their colleagues from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in April in Brussels. https://lnkd.in/gMURCCae The main goal was to foster the #understanding of the respective higher education and research landscapes 🔎, to learn from each other's #expertise 🗨 and to develop academic #collaboration between the two regions. One of the fruits 🍒 of this exchange is a factsheet which we would like to share! ❔ ❓ ❔ A question to our colleagues from the Swiss higher education sector: What would be your "pays cible" you would like to get to know better?

🎓 Last Friday marked the conclusion of the second Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) for the Erasmus+ PRISCILA Project: a capacity-building initiative aimed at promoting and certifying lifelong learning competencies for adult migrants through European micro-credentials. 📌 This meeting was a valuable opportunity for the consortium partners to exchange insights from their respective countries, where pilot programs have been launched to test the Priscila Method, the result of a participatory co-design process based on non-formal education methodologies. The preliminary results are promising and demonstrate the potential of this innovative approach! 🌎 As a PhD Student in Pedagogical Sciences at the Department of Education Studies “G. M. Bertin” at the University of Bologna, I am proud to be part of this team and to have participated in both this LTTA in Bologna and the first one held in Cham, Germany, earlier this year.
