We cannot say we promote recovery if we do not promote inclusive hiring and and access to supported employment for people with behavioral health conditions. Yet this is often the last thing practitioners think of and only when they feel people are “ready”. We need to end paternalism and ableism, and promote true shared decision making in care and community inclusion. This starts with higher education and field experience. Our behavioral health field must evolve if we want to see sustainable outcomes. #ipsworks #supportedemployment #recoveryisreal

5dLove the wish for snow removal for driveways - and accessible transportation! If people can't get around in their communities they can't access health, education, jobs, etc. They can't live independently! Thank you Easterseals for recognizing this! Federal Transit Administration #NADTC
