✨ The Power of Early Mockups in UX Design✨ This morning, I was reading a thought-provoking article from UX Collective Collective, and one line really struck a chord with me: "Everyone had a different idea of the desired experience in their heads, and didn’t realize it until I gave them something to look at so they could say 'this isn’t it.'" Been there, right? 🎯 This is why I firmly believe in the importance of creating even low-fidelity mockups early in product and project workflows. The cognitive load required to react to a visual is far lower than to an abstract idea, even when we think it’s well-defined in our minds. As much as the perfectionist in me wants to craft a pixel-perfect representation in Figma , I find that lower-fidelity mockups in Canva are incredibly effective for stakeholder feedback. Plus, Canva’s extensive library of pre-existing assets makes the process quicker and easier. 🛠️ By starting with these early visuals, not only do I gather more precise feedback, but I also ease the workload of UX/UI designers down the line by providing a more refined vision. 🌟 How do you incorporate mockups into your workflow? Low-Level Design Journey: 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐛𝐮𝐳𝐳 Clone Leveraging the Observer Design Pattern 🏏 I'm thrilled to share the low-level design of a Cricbuzz-like application, which leverages the Observer Design Pattern to manage dynamic, real-time updates efficiently. 🎯 Design Pattern: Observer The Observer Design Pattern was central to this architecture. Here’s how it works: Observers: Classes like BattingScoreUpdater and BowlingScoreUpdater subscribe to match events, particularly updates triggered by the Ball class. Subject: The Ball class acts as the subject, notifying all registered observers whenever a significant event occurs (e.g., a run is scored, a wicket falls). Thanks Shrayansh Jain for the Low Level design.

Task-Oriented vs. Feature-Oriented Design I just read a fantastic article on the benefits and pitfalls of task-oriented vs. feature-oriented design approaches. When facing larger design challenges, deciding which path to take has often left me puzzled. If you enjoy structuring your information neatly, this article is a must-read. It breaks down how to think critically about information architecture and effectively prioritize user needs.
