🌱 Why So Many People Are Afraid to Start Gardening 🌱 Gardening seems like a simple hobby, but for many beginners, it can feel overwhelming. I hear it all the time: “I’d love to start, but I don’t know where to begin.” Or, even worse people start but end up discouraged after a few failed attempts. "I have killed too many plants", they say. Here’s what’s holding them back: ❌ Fear of Failure: Beginners often worry that they’ll invest time, money, and effort, only to kill their plants and see no results. This fear keeps many from even trying. ⏳ Too Time-Consuming: Many people believe that gardening requires constant attention and hours of work. For someone with a busy schedule, that’s a big deterrent. 📚 Information Overload: There’s so much advice out there, and for beginners, it’s hard to know where to start. Should you plant in pots? Directly in the soil? What if you don’t have a garden? The questions seem endless. --- 💚 This is why we have been creating easyDacha 💚 We simplify the process for beginners with easy-to-follow, AI-powered guides showing exactly what to do and when. I remember when I first started gardening. Planting seeds felt slow and almost pointless at first. The progress was invisible—just dirt, water, and waiting.💥 But here’s the lesson I learned: growth was happening even when I couldn’t see it. The roots were forming, and every tiny effort I made was building something bigger.🙌 Compare that to people waiting for the ‘perfect time’ to start their business. They stay frozen, hoping for ideal conditions, while missing the truth: progress doesn’t need to be fast—it just needs to happen.👌 Here’s the thing—small actions compound over time. Tiny steps, even when they feel insignificant, build momentum. The people who succeed aren’t the fastest; they’re the ones who refuse to stop moving forward.💡 So stop waiting for perfection—it doesn’t exist. Take one small step today. Forward is forward, and progress is always better than standing still. 🥰 Need help getting started? Send a DM. WARNING - GARDENING IS REALLY DANGEROUS! It's a funny old thing is pain. My role back on the very front line of the NHS within GP clinics has been really interesting so far. Its given me a slightly different perspective to those patients that I was previously seeing within secondary care, who had been referred by their GP. No less than FOUR of my patients today presented with pain that had come on as a result of doing some gardening over the weekend. We have one good weekend of weather, and look what happens!! 😂 Now clearly, on balance gardening is actually not an inherently dangerous activity (within reason). But much like other activities, if the demands that we place upon our Musculoskeletal system outstrip our capacity, then we can start to run into some discomfort. I'm writing some content at the moment for a Healthy Ageing presentation. Part of this session will focus on the need to maintain our physical resilience. Each of these 4 patients were 50+. I'm fairly confident their pain will not persist for too long. With a bit of reassurance, not over medicalising their pain, and a gentle return to activity, I'm sure they will be back tending to the lawn in no time. But for me it was a nice illustration of the need to continue to build and maintain our Physical resilience and capability, to ensure that as we move through the decades, we can still do the things that bring us joy and happiness at the weekend. So just as it would be ... moronic to tell people that they shouldn't run for their health, because their knees might hurt, the same applies for gardening, and its potential to cause you some back pain. In fact, this article is from the RHS discussing the benefits of gardening for your wellbeing. But rather this post is just here to plant the seed (see what I did there?) 🌼 that much like your financial pension, the sooner we start paying into our physical reserves, the deeper those reserves go, and the better quality of life we have and maintain into those later decades.

Economic Gardening First Principles There is a tension between stability and change in nature. It is reflected in the temperament of people. There are stability people and there are change people. The choice is not whether we need stability or need change, but rather how much of each and in what situations.

I used to think gardening was complicated… until I discovered these 3 tips. 👇 1. Learning Curve Gardening involves a natural learning process; mistakes are common and provide valuable lessons over time, making it easier as you gain experience 2. Adaptability Plants are resilient and can thrive in various conditions. Gardening allows for experimentation, where you can adjust your approach based on what works best for your environment 3. Minimal Requirements Successful gardening primarily requires good soil, adequate light, and water. Once these basics are established, maintenance can be straightforward and manageable Summary: Gardening isn’t complicated. It’s about getting outside, hands in soil, switching off from the worries of the world. Give growing a go and see what happens, that’s the fun part. Embrace Gardening

SEO Is Like Gardening SEO reminds me of gardening: you plant the seeds, nurture them, and wait for them to grow. It takes time and patience, but the results are worth it. There’s nothing quite like watching a strategy you’ve nurtured bloom into success.

Leadership is like gardening. Much like gardening it starts with: 1) Planning the layout, the most abstract ideas are welcomed here. 2) Implementation, we transform the plan into a planted garden. 3) Management, we calibrate and adjust based on the plan vs reality. 4) Auditing, are the systems working as desired? Is there new or rare phenomena to consider when we plan next? We then go through the same sequence of steps, gradually creating the ideal garden for the terrain. The first two steps are entrepreneurship as a whole, the last two steps are where the entrepreneur exchanges power, for authority, with a team. Each step is a hill of a different terrain and lifetimes can be spent calibrating each step, however, knowing when good is good enough, can keep the hills from becoming mountains. Does everyone have access to these hills? Yes, all we need to do is approach a hill of our choosing or a personal/ societal big how, say a silent prayer, trust in technique and start. Start something new, start where we left off, start after finishing – let's start And if we move inline with spirituality and culture then we wouldn’t have to worry about time – because time is what makes a manicured garden great. Today is Thursday 11th of July 2024.
