Hey y'all Imma keep this simple... I set up, market and manage events. My standards are very high. Creating an event requires planning, communication and clear vision on what you want to accomplish. • It starts with guests arriving to the venue, having some signage, directions or at a minimum someone greeting guests. • Check in should be as frictionless as possible. whether you're scanning qr codes or checking names off a list. • If it's a talk (panel discussion, summit or conference), you want to have seating facing the presenters. • You need to set the expectations of timing - when it starts, how long it goes. Timekeeping is critical with speakers. • It gets even more complicated with food and beverages (including alcohol). For certain events you'll have follow ups with your team post event - I'm also a fan of the survey. I like knowing how people felt about their experience. As an old friend of mine used to say... feedback is a gift. And finally... why am I posting this? Event marketing and operations is not an easy job... and it's risky half-a$$ing it. So, if you're planning (or thinking about planning) - hire an event marketer. It makes all the difference. First impressions are important. #EventMarketing #Experiential #HireAProfessional
