“Malnutrition is a growing public health problem leading to increased morbidity and mortality worldwide. Up to 50% of elderly patients are hospitalized due to this condition.” (Tomasiewicz et al., 2024) It's so important for everyone to have access to healthy meals, especially older adults who face unique challenges that can make it difficult for them to get the food they need. These challenges are often linked to health, finances, and living arrangements. Sadly, many older adults dealing with food insecurity struggle to access the healthy food they need, which can lead to an increased risk of chronic conditions like asthma and diabetes, as well as mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. #HealthyEating #FoodInsecurity #SeniorHealth Tomasiewicz, A., Polański, J., & Tański, W.
