When we were talking to one of our clients about their content strategy, we took a closer look at their case studies. They had a few—but they were buried on their site and written like resumes: - dry descriptions of the customer. - a brief mention of results. - and no real story to connect the dots. Here’s the thing: The results were incredible. One customer had scaled their operations 3x using the tool. But the case study said: “Our customer scaled 3x after implementing [Tool Name].” And that was it. We worked with them to rewrite it. Instead of listing results, we told the story: ✅ The specific problem the customer faced (managing high-volume cyber threats in real-time). ✅ How they implemented the tool differently (integrating it with their existing security stack). ✅ The tangible outcome: “3x growth in 9 months with zero extra spend.” What changed? The sales team started using the case study to shorten the sales process. In B2B tech—especially cybersecurity—the sales cycle is notoriously long. Buyers need proof before they commit. That case study became their go-to resource: - prospects could see themselves in the customer’s shoes. - it reduced endless back-and-forths. - and it sped up decision-making. The takeaway? Case studies aren’t just “nice-to-have.” When done right, they become sales tools.
