𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 is one of my absolute favourite parts of EVP and Employer Brand work ❤️ and I would argue is 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼. It can be tricky to get right though. It's not as straight forward as developing a nice strong creative to run a social campaign. There are way more variables to consider and some pretty common pitfalls to avoid along the way. Advocacy empowers individuals or groups to express their authentic voices, needs, and desires by leveraging effective communication, reframing perspectives, and aligning values-driven actions to create positive change and promote inclusive outcomes. At the recent Virtual Special Education Summit, Mr Iniobong Sam presented 'Empowering parents and caregivers as advocates'.
