🎗️Corporate claims for charitable donations🎗️ When a limited company makes charitable donations specific rules apply. These may include Corporation Tax relief for donations to registered charities or community amateur sports clubs (CASC). However, the rules are different if the company is given something in return for making a donation, such as tickets for an event. You've had promoters of what you call NIL collectives. Essentially, an organization would be formed to pool money to pay out NIL deals to athletes. If you were a booster of a particular school and wanted your school to bring in some of the top athletes, the play was to contribute to these pools or collections. Yourself and others would pull the money together, and then that collective would turn around and pay the athletes as an incentive to come to the school. The tax implications of that play were that these collectives were created as nonprofits. So anytime boosters or supporters would contribute to these collectives, they were treated as charitable contributions. And as a result, they'd be able to deduct those contributions they made to the collective on their taxes. #NILCollectives #Boosters #TopAthletes #PooledFunds #IncentivePayments #Nonprofits #CharitableContributions #TaxDeductions #NILDeals #AmateurAthletics #blackcpa #africanamericancpa #businessmanager #virtualcfo #taxbrackets #blackbusinessmanager #fractionalcfo #cpa #africanamericancpa #africanamericancfo #africanamericanaccountant #blackaccountant #blackownedcpafirm #blackownedaccountingfirm #nameimageandlikeness #nil

💞Thinking of giving back this year? Why sell appreciated stock when you could donate it? If you’ve held onto stocks for over a year, donating them to a tax-qualified charity could allow you to deduct the fair market value on your taxes and may help the charity avoid capital gains tax. This option could potentially make a bigger impact than a cash donation! Christmas is a popular time to give to charity - but did you know you might be able to claim tax relief on your donations? Charities can also receive more money if you donate via Gift Aid which means they can reclaim the tax on your donation. For higher and additional rate taxpayers donating to a charity under Gift Aid, you can claim back the difference between the tax you’ve paid on the donation and what the charity got back when you fill in your Self Assessment tax return. If you need any advice on tax relief or Self Assessment, get in touch with our team. #selfassessment #charity #giftaid #ashleys #ashleysaccountant #Hitchin #hertsbusiness #smallbusiness #accountant #charteredaccountant

In the UK, if you’re a business, did you know that when you donate to charity, you could get a little something back from the taxman? When your business makes donations to qualifying charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs), you can often claim tax relief on those donations. That means some of the tax you paid on those donations could come back to you. Also, don’t forget about Gift Aid. When your business donates through Gift Aid, charities can claim an extra 25p for every pound you donate, making your contribution even more impactful. There are some rules and conditions you need to know about, so it's wise to have a chat with your accountant or tax advisor to make sure you’re getting the most out of your donations. #CharityDonations #TaxAdvice #SmithNewmans
